"If we mess up, we're in full control now to fix it.."
As if you weren't ever? You're not fooling anyone Bungie, everybody knows you were always in control with your own game. Cant keep pretending that Activision was the reason why your game has been a monumental failure for years now. You can't keep using them as a scapegoat. People are catching on to your lies.

Both Activision and Bungie have said numerous times that Bungie had full creative control at all times.
-
Both Activision and Bungie have said numerous times that Bungie had full creative control at all times.
Yeah, back when the news first broke that Activision and Bungie we’re partnering, I decided to look into the Contract between the two companies and you are correct, Bungie did have full creative control of the Destiny Series (before we knew it was called Destiny) people need to read this stuff. Activision was is definitely the Scape Goat for Bungie’s Failures.
-
Edited by Dryheave_Disco: 9/18/2019 12:58:18 PMI understand that, but full creative control is less valuable when you’re shackled to a contract that dictates an expansion/dlc model that doesn’t allow you to creatively pursue your vision. It is Bungie’s fault for signing it though. It’s like if a good underground band signs a big publishing deal, may have creative control over their music, but have to release an album every year and make 10 million dollars and have 2 radio hits. You’re no longer writing for the art, but for the commercial viability of the art as a product. The vision gets lost. Sounds to me like they’re taking that back, is all I was saying.
-
You have no idea how business works
-
According to Bungies own words, Activision had no say on what Bungie did with the game. All they demanded was the game be profitable and that DLCs and such get released on time. Sounds like you have no idea what you are talking about.
-
You’re the clueless one here holmes. Go create something, sign a publishing deal, and then come back and we can talk. It’s a big effin deal to get your publishing rights back.
-
No it really isn't. All it means is you get to publish on your own schedule. Nothing to do with creative input.
-
I have signed numerous publishing deals, you imbecile. The problem for you, you little fanboy, is Bungie and Activision have both spoken about the terms of the agreement and Activision in no way told Bungie what to do. In fact, Activision USED THEIR OWN MONEY to hire two other developers to help Bungie release content on time, add onto that, Bungie was allowed to own the IP, unlike Halo who Microsoft made sure to own the IP. Congrats on proving yourself a monumental fool.
-
Ok mr. hidden game history, call me a fanboy. I’m playing Borderlands 3. I bet you’re playing Destiny right. now. And your words prove you don’t know shit about publishing deals.
-
Actually, I am eating a Pizza and drawing some characters for the next comic release. :D The only person who has no idea about Publishing deals is you but morons like you always have to lie to try and prove a point. :D

-
Yes, they are, and we have the agreement that Bungie and Activision stated, you moron. Activision allowed Bungie to own the IP, meaning if Activision dropped Bungie, which they did, then all publishing rights would go back to Bungie. Man, you are a very stupid person. Do you need to remind yourself to breathe?
-
That you think Activision dropped Bungie shows how little you know about this particular situation, but whatever.
-
Edited by Astellan: 9/18/2019 2:41:41 AMActivision and Bungie both stated that Activision dropped them. You think Activision wanted to hire two developers to assist a developer in making content on Time? You are beyond stupid. Most of the Content made was made by HM and VV... All of which was PAID by Activision. Activision even stated that it was pouring more money into Destiny than it was making out of the deal.
-
Well, they wanted to ship cross save at launch. Couldn’t. They wanted to make Destiny 1 one big game. Couldn’t. had to chop it up to appease the publishing deal. But continue on bleeding your vagina all over a forum nobody gives a shit about. Especially the developers, and rightfully so.
-
Wrong, the chopping up of content in D1 was Bungie. Go read the lawsuit as everything you have said is a LIE! Also, it seems like you are getting angry, whats wrong, mad that I am talking ill about a developer you have an unhealthy attachment to? Guess what? If you were dying of Pancreatic cancer No one on these forums, not one of your family members, and not one employee at Bungie would give a crap if you died in complete pain and misery. Refreshing to know that you are a mistake. :D

I’m sorry someone close to you died of pancreatic cancer.

No, but you will and from the sound of it you are definitely in a rage. :D

Lol, you didn't read the lawsuit. It is amazing how dumb your kind is.
Lol, you didn't read the lawsuit. It is amazing how dumb your kind is.
Considering you don’t know what publishing rights are I don’t think you could understand lawsuit language. Sooooooo, anyways, have a nice evening. Try not to fall asleep with pepperoni in your neckbeard.

Edited by Astellan: 9/18/2019 3:18:16 AMYou obviously do not know what publishing rights are because you cannot even define it. A clear indication that you have no idea, you would have long dropped the definition and agreement. You do not so you just say "PUBLISHING RIGHTS!" as if that means you know what you are talking about. You do not. Publishing rights btw only means that Activision has the rights to distribute Destiny and Destiny 2. Activision never OWNED the IP and in fact, in the deal did not even try to own the IP of Destiny. So, either you are an idiot or a pathetic person willing to lie over a game. I think its both.

If servers ain't going offline, then neither should the content I paid for. Removal of paid content at the end of seasons is a big red flag for me.
