Myself and many of my friends came back prior to the launch of the new expansion to earn our Solstice armor and also to get acclimated with the game before the update fixes a lot of things that we consider to be broken.
We are very excited for the direction that Bungie is deciding to take the game now that they are free from the people at Activision.
However, we are worried that the new system is going to leave our current armor sets in the dirt like they did in year 2 when they did not add the new perks to our old armor. One of the reasons why we are worried that our armor will be left behind is because they are upgrading everyone's equipment to light level 750 on day one starting on October 1st.
I'm not asking for a spoiler but it would be nice if Bungie would tell us weather our armor will be converted into new armor 2.0 or if we will be able to print armor 2.0 off our previous collections.
If someone from Bungie could please respond that would be great thank you.
None of our current armor will be converted to Armor 2.0, nor will 2.0 versions be able to be pulled from Collections. However, you will be given a 2.0 version of the Majestic Solstice set if you earned it, and all armor in the game will have a 2.0 version that you can grind for again with some exceptions like Trials and Faction gear, since those are still on indefinite hiatus.
