I like the guy, but come on. That's flat out wrong.

It's not just Trump, but a fair amount of Republican representatives in Congress are misleading Americans intentionally by stating that inaccurate and disproven claim. If they're doing that to keep their constituents and in general, the Republican Party, ignorant, then they are doing a huge disservice to America and should really read some of the studies that point to the contrary of their claim. Though, I am glad that there are more and more Republican representatives that are making a rallying cry to address and work on the problem and not blaming video games for the violence that's happening across the country. It's unfortunate that it took 2 mass shootings and 30+ American deaths (not counting the Mexican nationals deaths, though unfortunate and terrible, since Mexico is already getting ready to fight the US in the courts on this) in the span of 48 hours for them to do so though.
