Here is a little context. Destiny is the only game I play. I have played since D1 on ps4 and I love it. I love the camaraderie of this community. Every time I tell my wife about the crazy things this community accomplishes she's super impressed. (especially the hidden replica valkarie). I love this game and I am loyal to it. I just want to play, have fun, and be successful. Sometimes that successful part becomes too important though.
That's what happened last night. I was stupid and I let you all down.
So I am terrible at PVP and I thought because a ton of other people do it, I should try an aimbot on pc. I had no idea how to use it. It was in some windowed mode and I kept clicking out of destiny. It made things worse in fact. I went to uninstall it and I jumped back to destiny and there was my account ban screen. Worst night ever!
First of all, I want to apologize. I let ya'll down and I tried something that was not fair to you. I should not have done it and I wish I had not done it. I am not a hacker or a cheater at heart. I barely know how to use a pc (I haven't worked on a pc for at least 10 years, since my job revolves around working on macs, I literally jumped over just for this game) I was just foolish and wanted success and I wronged you all to try to get it.
I am sorry Bungie community.
Second, Bungie, I wish I would have got a warning or a restriction or something instead of being banned at the first offense. I had no idea what I was doing with it, and it was going to be removed even before you implemented the ban. Had a restriction been issued, I would have taken it off even faster. I just would not have tried that ever again. Just saying, a straight up ban without a warning is just a bummer. Tell me I am doing something wrong and I'll stop. Straight up ban makes me not want to play.
And lastly, I am just not sure where to go from here. I love destiny and I don't know what to do in the wake of this. Would love some feedback.

You have 2 options. Walk away from the game or start a new account and rebuy the game (hopefully learning from your mistake)
