Jade Rabbit has been with us since the Curse of Osiris expansion and it remains today as one of the only scouts in the game that is actually competitive with a very consistent 3 shot kill at long ranges. My issue is that the perk virtually has no use. Yes, while it has the ability to bypass ammo economy like Whisper of the Worm used to, when has primary ammo ever truly been rare or difficult to find? The use of the perk only harms the gun in this case as the damage gained from chaining body shots is far less than just hitting crits. If having an infinite mag is the purpose here, just make it based around crits, or maybe after landing 5 crits, the rest of the mag would do slightly more damage for a short time so that while it may still 3 tap, the gun would be useful and would work around how precise the gun is in nature. The ultimate result would be an ace of spades type weapon combined with trench barrels mechanic that would say: rapidly landing 5 precision shots will increase damage for a short time or until 3-5 shots are fired like trench barrels timing, that is activated through being a good shot rather than just killing, and if you land any body shots, the perk fails to activate. Another balance option could involve the amount of shots needed, the time between shots, or something along those lines. Any thoughts/dev response would be much appreciated! I don't want to see Jade get left in the dirt.
