Refer-a-friend
So I have an account that I used for D1 but never used it to play D2, can I use that account for the refer a friend or do i need to create a brand new account that never played any of the Destiny games?

An account can qualify as a referee when it purchased Destiny 2: Forsaken and has played it less than 7 days. Accounts accessing via game sharing are not eligible to be referees until the game license is purchased using that account. https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/47346
