Hi i have a progressive muscle disease and its hard for me to click the left stick button to sprint and i am woundering if its possible to have auto sprint/sprint by default in destiny 2

Try a controller with back paddles or any type of extra button to map sprint to

Collective minds F.P.S strike pack is a mod pack that does a lot of things, including an auto run. I use it because I can map the right trigger and bumper to the paddles since I lost my index finger in an accident. It is also a great alternative to a scuff of elite controller, since it is only around 30 dollars. Important thing to note is that although it can do many more things that would give you an advantage over other, this should be used only as a tool to help or improve gameplay, not to cheat. The strike pack is also allowed in tournaments, but only for button mapping. Until bungee comes out with an auto run feature, I would go check this out, you can find them at Target, GameStop, BestBuy, etc. I hope this helped

Thanks for the feedback. I've been collecting a lot recommendations on how to make Destiny more accessible to players. I know some players have asked for the ability for PC to accept both M&KB and controller inputs at the same time. I'll add your request to have a way to toggle sprint to be on by default as well and pass this to the dev team. -
Just saying auto button commands on console or PC will be a problem for players looking to exploit skating and jump glitches. Even consistent slides. This is generally literally and metaphorically game changing and should be heavily considered. I agree with just buying equipment rather than building it in.

Anyone ever see the guy who beat Crota using only his feet???
-
Very sorry to hear of your affliction. Don't let a bunch of edgy teen-twats that haven't suffered a single setback in their miserable little lives get you down. Eyes up, Guardian.

A Non Bungie Employee, Teabag Specialist here... The focus at the moment is fixing Glitches, that would make it too easy for Casals in PVP.
-
You would think that a person with progressive muscle disease would spend more time in PvE than PvP. You know, because of more sprinting being required in sweaty Crucible.

Edited by STiNKyWizLTeaTs: 7/18/2019 7:55:37 PMI got into an auto accident in 2006 and spent 8 years in a hospital. You need to find a medical technology group that will build you what you need. My desk to hold my 8 monitors costs them $8000 and they drove to my house for the measurements. USF in Tampa is awesome...reach out to them and if you need help let me know. I saw 42 doctors for my accident, so I am sure I can speed the process.

Been a while since I was on console, but can you not remap the button so it is easier for you?

Edited by BounceFridge: 7/18/2019 12:08:03 AMthis isnt a bungie issue, it's an overall accessibility thing. Destiny isnt the only game with a sprint function. to all the people complaining that bungie doesnt have a direct way of contacting them this is why, issues like this dont fall onto them. 95% of the player base doesnt have the issues that OP does, they can't change a game mechanic based on what a small number of players have issues with. as for OP, get a strike pack addon for your controller and make one of the paddles the sprint button, it's cheaper than an elite controller. don't try to change the game for us all based on your singular issue, find a way to work around it. bring on the downvotes reddit

A progressive muscle disease? Damn you, Bernie Sanders!

I have multiple healed broken bones in my hands. I use a "CronusMax Plus" so that I can program the controller input to this exact thing. I also have it set up to only require a partial trigger pull since I cant pull my finger back far enough to fire normally. They have an AWESOME support community and if you were to purchase one and place a request for a custom script i'm certain someone will make one for you. Some of the premade scripts already have auto sprint enabled.
-
How bout getting a Scruf Vantage? It has programmable side bumper buttons, just remap buttons and you'll never have to press down on the joystick. It's not cheap but will solve your problem, for more games than just Destiny.
-
If you have a ps4 you can change button inputs by going into accessibility in settings menu

Unless you are a streamer forget it

Edited by Spiderx16: 7/18/2019 8:04:46 AMBungie seems to only respond to the easy questions and will not implement an actual help desk. Customers should choose to boycott buying games unless there is a normal ticket resolution process. It might actually change things. I am very ready to stop purchasing any bungie products and attempt to convince friends to do the same. I hope you get resolution, but more importantly, hope bungie steps up and develops a process to allow customers to levy complaints....

If you can click with your right hand try the mirror controller template. I used it last year when I broke my left wrist and couldn’t use sprint
-
It’s easier to get in touch with the Queen of England than bungie. You can at least write her a letter, bungie like to hide until there’s something to sell you.
-
This topic is trending dmg or cozmo will see this.
-
Like just holding walk and you sprint shortly after?
-
Sure they can help you. Ditch the PlayStation and get an Xbox. They have an elite controller and a disability based controller. Both great options
-
Bungie has already made their one response this week. Perhaps next week they may respond but I’m guessing it might not be what you are hoping to receive “we hear your concerns and we will pass on to the team”
-
Gee, wonder why bungie didn't reply to this post, big as it's gotten. So obvious they're whistling and looking at the ceiling. Says alot about them that they don't care about their disabled player base.
-
The real issue with this whole thread is this fact...... There is literally no way to directly contact Bungie at all! What kind of self respecting company doesn’t even have a customer service email or phone number to reach them? If you need any help, you legit have to post on the forum and hope somebody answers. What a joke this company is now.

Here's the primary contact number: (425) 440-6800 This might help. If not that, then there are a few controllers based around multi-function buttons and 'disability-oriented' layouts. Keep rocking it, Guardian.
