Max Laval's logbook, page 1 (fan lore)

Day 1 of the Stellae Heroicis mission. Start of the Stellae Heroicis mission, 1pm Goodbye, my dear Earth, Venus, we're coming! The serious things are starting, after all these simulations we will finally be able to perform this brand new task, even if it proves to be bold! Colonizing an entire planet is not easy and we don't know what time will bring... storms of several decades? or aliens?! ahah the good joke... it doesn't exist let's see why I'm writing this. Anyway, there is still this sphere that came from which we don't know where it came from, but which helped us a lot anyway. End of the day, 11pm I must admit that this first day was very stressful! We had to re-calibrate the shuttle after a failure of the automatic steering system, the technicians could still have checked that everything was working before they dumped us, believing that we were just cattle. Fortunately, we had the coordinates to enter in a small paper, otherwise we were screwed! They better add 20 000 more dollars on the check if they don't want me to get angry. Apart from that everything was working, thank goodness. I think I'm going to like this newspaper, even if I don't have much time to write it... hoping I don't apple it in a corner of my cabin. Day 2 of the Stellae Heroicis mission. Morning (on Earth), 7am Well, you can't even see the Earth anymore! I am torn between the intense feeling of anxiety of no longer seeing my native planet and at the same time extremely impressed by today's technology, this "Traveller" is probably working miracles! We should receive instructions from the PФБA, I don't know if it's spelled exactly that way... the Russian and I are two, even if Olga teaches me a few words. Noon (on Earth), 12pm Still nothing received, though I'm not complaining because we had all morning to look... at the void. Anyway, anyway, we saw Sam fall like a potato and that's priceless. Afternoon (on Earth), 13:47 At last! We received the call, I was beginning to think they had forgotten about us. To summarize in a less scientific context what we should do, they told us that we had to determine a landing point on Venus, I was quite shocked when they told us that we only had 8 days left to travel! I knew this thing was fast, but at this point.... Bedtime (on Earth), 00:15 Well, it's time to go to sleep! We don't have much to do during this trip, I think the hardest part will be when we get to our destination. In the meantime I will take advantage of these 8 poor days that we have to rest before the big day, I should not forget to do my daily physical exercise either. I look forward to being there.
