Where Should I build my home in Minecraft?
Should I build it in a mountain or use wood to build a house?

Do it on the mountain. Just make sure to build yourself a fast and easy way of climbing back up the mountain again while you're building your house.

Edited by Kittimu: 7/10/2019 3:45:53 AMOne of my favorite houses I made was the first one I ever made, a simple birch log square in a desert that was only a few blocks high and mostly underground, with windows in the above ground part and a glass ceiling and beds on either side of the stairs. It was adjacent to a forest AND an ocean. It was ugly and I loved it lol Edit: the underground parts of the walls were sandstone and there were furnaces built into the wall and no other rooms or interior walls

Why not both? Build it ontop of a mountain and expand downward.

Find a place filled with flowers. It's hard to fond, but it's a really pretty place.

3 RepliesIn a mountain, then you don’t have to build the exterior, and you get cobble while building it. So you build half the house, but get materials back, it’s a win-win scenario

I’d say build it inside of a mountain. Make sure the mountain is tall enough though. For one of the rooms, you could have a little window area in your home where you can overlook the entire biome next door while you work. I remember doing this whenever I could on some of my worlds. Ah, fun times

Hmmm... Mountain home is cool in concept but unless you have trees and animal's nearby I recommend the forest
