Please do me a favor, AND LET SOMEONE IN WHEN THEY WANT ON A HIGHWAY!
DO NOT JUST -blam!-ING SPEED UP AND ALMOST GET SOMEONE KILLED!
Backstory here, I had just mowed 3 lawns, ran 5 errands, had no food since 6:00 in the morning, and finally just got home to type this. So I was a tad annoyed when I tried getting on the highway, AND GET -blam!- BY A PICKUP TRUCK.
The -blam!-er was lucky that it was a circular off ramp so I could just get off on another street instead of getting -blam!-ed by a railing.
Lesson learned here: LET SOMEONE IN.
This message does not affect the good truck drivers here in Offtopic.

I’m afraid of driving because I might end up with people like that, or I might accidentally be someone like that.
Fades Away
Match the speed of traffic and zipper merge.
-
I'm a school bus driver. We're always polite. Even when we really don't want to be.
-
Pro tip: If its a Yield, the accident is your fault. If it’s a merge the accident is their fault. And go!
-
I have found that many people just don’t understand merging. They either don’t know how to merge, or they don’t know how to let someone else merge. It’s like a zipper people.

Question, why didn't you slow down a tad and let the dude pass you? Also, what type of truck was it?

Edited by blaw_pt_atc: 7/1/2019 11:16:53 PMEverytime I need to get over or on the highway and there’s traffic I’m like please be a good Christian and let me in😂 ALSO DONT BE THE GUY THAT TAILGATES. ESPECIALLY WHEN THERES ANOTHER LANE
-
And to add on to that, when you're in the fast lane and have like 6 cars behind you, MOVE OVER
-
Its weird because you have to stop since you have to yield to oncoming traffic. And yet you have to gauge the perfect moment to start accelerating, which I have some trouble doing because when you're forced to sit at a standstill, trying to instantly get to 55 can be a little tricky. Its something I personally don't like, but you gotta do what you gotta do.
The -blam!-er was lucky that it was a circular off ramp so I could just get off on another street instead of getting -blam!-ed by a railing.
Why exactly does this make him the lucky one?
-
The person on the highway has the right of way. It is your duty to be aware of what is happening on the highway and merge in a way that isn't detrimental to other drivers. Always. Period. That is the law.
-
just don’t go 30 when you’re trying to merge, idk and wtf is a circular off ramp?
-
Gotta learn them cut-throughs, side streets, and whatnot.
-
Do they thinks it's a race? It's like they are super slow right in front of you, then then you try to pass then they will go double speed real fast
-
It's my car and I pay taxes for those streets. I drive how I want!
