Destiny The Collection still sits on the Xbox and Playstation marketplaces for £49.99 and with no recent sales, at least on the Xbox store, newer players face an extremely large barrier to entry in order to experience any of D1's content. Playing through the first game, while is not necessary, largely adds to the story and the worldbuilding of Destiny 2. Physical releases of the Collection are all but gone and so there is no other option. With low player populations and no more upcoming content, charging the full £50 is extortionate. With the news of New Light especially, I feel the price of the collection should be lowered by around 80% or just offered for free to all players.
