Getting scout kills in the crucible is excruciating.
They are outclassed by every other weapon type in every conceivable way. Haven’t won a match since I started going for these kills.
Who’s bright idea was it to require kills with what the community almost unanimously agrees is the worst weapon type?

No Feelings with Box Breathing has a TTK in line with the fastest TTK weapons in D2. You just need to get Equinox.

Polaris lance did the trick for me.

Mida has been pretty nutty so far for me On maps like Eternty or Vostok, I’ve been running Mida and Recluse. With One Eyed Mask or Dune Marchers

I'd recommend Jade Rabbit, its probably the gun I use most in PvP. Granted its not ideal for all maps but if you get some space between you and your opponents then you'll be surprised how effective it can be. The trick is to aim for bodyshots, chain a few together and your precision shots can be enough to take out a fresh guardian in a single headshot. But regardless of the scout rifle used remember to play like you're using a scout rifle/DMR and hold back, follow teammates and cover them (i.e. use them as bait) and don't get drawn into close quarters combat.

They aren't bad but finding a lane that doesn't have so much obstruction and cover for someone to close the distance on you is the real problem. And now more than likely you're going to be against snipers at range so you can't afford to miss a shot. Jade Rabbit and Polaris Lance are top tier. I prefer the 180 archetype, especially Tango-45 and Distant Relation.

150 scouts are actually really powerful.

Use a 150 scout and quit whining they are fine

When Bungie decide that weapon x is the new meta they become impervious to any comment about other weapon types. Unfortunately scouts are out of favour so nothing will happen until some magic switch is flipped internally and Bungie believe it's now their time.
