With new light coming, Y1 content won’t be missing from any players. With that change, now would be the perfect time to actually utilize the Infinite Forest so it can live up to its name. I think it should be used to add variance to the strike playlist. And I mean more than just randomized floating Vex platforms and enemy types. Use it as an excuse to do everything from creating unique strikes that we wouldn’t otherwise ever see, to even bringing in some D1 strikes.
Open it up from the patrol zone by letting players select a randomized simulation of an environment that represents a “treasure hunt” or something similar. It has to be the most underutilized concept in the entire series. The potential is staggering. Please open it up.

Agreed. They could even do something crazy like mashing 3 random strikes together. Imagine starting out with the Inverted spire and 40% through the strike you and your fireteam are pulled through space time and are dumped in the middle of the pyrimidion with the 4 confluxes you need to scan, everything continues until the boss fight and when the boss is at 50% health your team as well as the boss are all pulled again through to the final room of the tree of probabilities strike. There the two bosses fight each other as well as your team. They could also do a waved based survival mode where the further you go the harder it gets but the better rewards you get. throw in new bounties, triumphs and loot. Normal mode has no time limit and a few modifiers. Heroic is timed but kills grant you extra time and the modifiers could be similar to classic D1 nightfall's This post has given me some ideas... the could do something similar with the archaeology on Titan to.
