These topics are just going to keep popping up until cores are removed from infusion.
Just do it already. They're not necessary. They don't add anything of value to the grindy process that is leveling other than to make it more grindy. Making leveling more grindy doesn't make leveling meaningful.
If removing them from infusion means that it's too easy to Masterwork, then find more uses for cores.
Before anyone decides to drop the "Cores are easy to get. I have 834 of them." or some other stupid number, I don't care how many you have or how easy they are to get. Cores add nothing of value to the infusion system. The community has been extremely vocal about this. So vocal that it's a wonder why it's still part of infusion.
FINAL EDIT: I didn't make this topic in the hopes of getting a reply from Bungie. I made this topic to show Bungie that this is still an issue. An issue they can't just sweep under the rug. Sure, Banshee bounties are good and it would be nice to have more ways to obtain cores, but that doesn't mean they belong in infusion. It doesn't change the fact that I don't want to treat this game like it's a job. I play to have fun, and if I'm not having fun, then it just isn't worth my time. Spider bounties are fun when you first start out doing them but when you spend more time in loading screens and doing tasks you don't really enjoy doing, you begin to feel burned out. I just don't see why we need cores to be in infusion when we could just as easily remove them from infusion and the only thing that would change is more people would be doing things they actively enjoy rather than things they hate. The thing about complaining is that even if it seems pointless, the more people who complain the more likely it is your complaint will be heard, acknowledged and something will be done.

Please stand by Bungie has been looking into this issue for months, they have almost finished there fact board. A decision should be coming sometime early 2020.

Edited by Lost Sols: 6/11/2019 12:03:21 PMIn the Shadowkeep vidoc, they talk about how they want us to be able to use the armor we want and Urk says:
right now, if you have an armor set that you like the way it looks and another armor set that you like the way it plays, you're probably going to pick the one that you like the way it plays
Right now we don't get to pick the one we like the looks of or the ones we like how it plays. Instead we're stuck with the one that's the highest power because of this stupid infusion system that flies completely in the face of their stated goal for Shadowkeep. Infusion was added to Destiny 1 as a way to allow us to more easily use what we love. This D2 Y2 bastardization of it has been a huge failure and one of the worst design decisions the studio has ever made.

Remove cores from infusion
-
Lol nope. They're here to stay. Play the game and earn them. Stop wasting them upgrading things you dont use. Stop infusing them every time you get a new higher light item.
-
All the times I’ve gone to infuse a gun and not have the enhancement cores is infuriating. I almost never have them because I my weapons and armour never drop them and I don’t have enough time to do the quests. I think they are good for master working because you should need to work hard and save to masterwork.
-
tbh i dont have a problem since i dont infuse everything i get
-
9 months passed and they still haven’t been removed. Just amazes me how people STILL have no idea this is still an issue
-
They are unnecessary to infusion ontop of an already bad leveling system. Cores should be used for master working and enhancing perks on armor for a large cost. They should make you feel that they are doing what the name implies which is to enhance and make better. The best time in Destiny when it came to leveling is the time I thought about everything except it.
-
yes remove cores from infusion. thank you
-
Enhancement Cores need to be removed from Infusion. Those that say “they’re easy to get” aren’t in our shoes and aren’t experiencing the headache that it is. Also Leveling/Progression should NEVER be a grind in a SHOOTER LOOTER!!! The goal of the game is grind for LOOT and END GAME CONTENT like Raids, Nightfalls Exotic Quests etc etc. Diablo 3 you don’t have to grind for Levels, in BL you don’t grind for Levels to get to Max Power. If the grind is in Leveling the game is not really a “Looter Shooter” in my opinion. It’s a Power Shooter. I miss the Vanilla D2 Leveling System. I want it back.
-
Agreed 😀👍

"These topics are going to keep popping up until cores are removed" And Bungie is going to keep ignoring them indefinitely until you people stop crying and actually play the game.
-
Bump. I think this should be where the discussion is. That other post is asking Bungie to double bounty rewards. I don’t think that’s the right solution. And if you look at the activity that keeps the other post trending, it’s actually all the negative posts. Let them stay there.

I made a true yet satire post, with a couple serious points. Low and behold, several of the same neckbeards, koolaid drinkers, and try hardest that support cores and give everyone shit, were the ones not only getting triggered by my comment, but dropping the numbered responses I mocked. It would be hilarious, if it wasn't sad. I gave them a nickname: The Core Brigade.

I think they should keep the enhancement cores for masterworks or exotics but not infusion.
-
I’ll return to game when cores (chores) are gone.
-
Agreed. I now have gear and weapon types I despise, and cant level other weapons bc of my shortage of cores. I just started playing again bc the menagerie is actually fun but I'm not motivated to play all over again. Cores are not fun to grind for.
-
For all the people saying, "If you don't like cores for infusion, just leave," I'd like you to know that many of us already have. Bungie has consistently shown that it does not care about its players. Bungie is only interested in keeping people addicted to their game in an unhealthy manner. They've done everything in their power to try and prevent their players from having too much fun playing their game. They want it to be an endless struggle where the player thinks they will eventually catch up to this carrot on a string called "fun"... but you never get there. You just chase and chase and chase. I urge you, break free of your addiction. Delete all your items. Delete all your enhancement cores. Delete all your materials.

Edited by StealthJediPro: 6/11/2019 8:10:24 PMNot this idiotic topic again. Just use your exotics from your collections to infuse your gear you don't lose that much. Shut up.

There is not point in complaining about something that isn't going to get changed.

I came up with a idea. So i have off for most of the days this week. So ill play the game with getting cores in mind and time exactly how manny hours it took and take pictures for evidence. Just a experiment on what it would be like for someone starting from scratch because i don’t believe cores should be in infusing and lots of defenders use the argument constantly that they can get lots of them every day. So I’m gonna test this out on Thursday.
-
I would like anyone who defend cores in infusion to explain WHY cores need to be incorporated in infusion. I don’t care really for arguments that tell me that cores are so EASY to get because you have plenty because I’m not asking if its easy for you to get cores because you play alot and do all the bounties every day or raid every week. Im asking why does infusion NEED cores to make the game better? Because if we look at the costs without infusion already it requires planetary materials which are pretty easy to get but infusion costs for them are pretty high especially in destiny 1. I believe if your arguing that cores make infusion more “meaningful” and “you have to think about it”, we technically already had that with planetary material costs being added. And while i know some people have 999999 of them ALOT of people don’t and i mean alot especially since different armor requires different materials and their are like 10 different planetary materials. I would also argue that infusion is extremely necessary as light level is used as nothing else then a requirement for activities and does not increase your actual power, people want to use the gear and builds they like without waiting till reset or the next day to get 10 cores and then start over.
