Hey all,
A few weeks back, we talked about Enhancement Cores coming from Gunsmith bounties in the TWAB. I wanted to give a quick update on this, as it also involves Mod Components, which have been a topic of discussion as well. Please note- this is all still in development for Season of Opulence, and could change.
• Originally announced in the TWAB, these bounties would cost Gunsmith materials. This has been changed to Glimmer.
• There will be multiple daily bounties to complete, each rewarding one enhancement core and two mod components
• There will be two weekly bounties to complete. These will each grant one enhancement core, one mod (Weapon or Armor), and other materials or reputation/rank points depending on the objective of the bounty.
• Note: When I say rank points, think Valor or Infamy, **not** Glory.
The team is continuing to evaluate feedback over mod components, enhancement cores, and rewards all up. Thank you for the continued feedback. We'll give you updates as we have them.

Edited by SleepingSurfer: 5/24/2019 7:55:44 PMBounties are being changed to glimmer to purchase? So, Gunsmith materials are again irrelevant unless you want a Gunsmith weapon. Truthfully, gunsmith materials are a pointless currency. With the current meta and available loot from other activities, the only real use for gunsmith materials is chasing a "God roll" on one or two weapons for the Crucible or the occasional purchase of mods when RNGesus offers useful ones. While I respect that not everyone will agree with what I am about to say, I believe that including gunsmith materials in the masterwork process of weapons can help offset some community woes regarding the scarcity of enhancement cores. My suggestion is for weapons level 3 up to 7, replace enhancement core requirements with amounts of gunsmith materials. At level 7 up to Masterwork, return to the use of cores in place of the gunsmith materials. This breathes new life into an underutilized currency and also allows players to level their weapons higher before tapping into their enhancement core supply thereby playing into the power fantasy. Additionally, by still requiring the use of cores for the last few steps to Masterwork, the decision making process on whether to masterwork or not still remains. From my seat, this is a win for all sides.
