If you think the game is over once you reach level cap....then every game becomes the same game.

 • No I hit the cap got a build down and then it’s just invasion missions . Sure the raid is coming but the dz isn’t the same . There’s no survival ... which kept me playing d1 . As well as the global events . I can’t put my finger on it mabey div 1 just burned me out . I don’t know . In fact I don’t have anyone playing div 2 right now. It was fun a couple weeks not so much after . I’m sure some good will come in the future and I’ll play that but for now it’s shelved .

 • Why just **one** build?
I can’t put my finger on it mabey div 1 just burned me out . I don’t know .
The Division 1 was more of a loot-chase game, than a mix-max game. You chased ofter over-powered gear sets that had very low drop rates....and then you just went to the optimization station and turned them into what you wanted. The Divison 2 is a true min-maxiing game. The game is far more generous with loot...but you have less ability to turn them into what you want. So you need to GRIND more to find the particular ROLL of an item you want, rather than the item itself. If you're someone who dosn't like (or doesnt' fully understand) end-game build making....the Div 1 model was more likely to keep you engaged. Especially if you were grinding for weapons for PVP use. But to a build-maker and min-maxer, the Div 2 model is like being a kid in a candy store. Because the game is generous enough wtih loot, that you can construct almost any build you can imagine. You just have to put the time into getting the pieces that you need.
In fact I don’t have anyone playing div 2 right now. It was fun a couple weeks not so much after .
Some gamers have a higher "need for novelty" (new experiences) than others. Loot-games are designed for players who have a relatively LOW need for novelty, and are comfortable finding new ways to interact with familiar content. I have that kind of personality (I'm a creature of habit), so I've always gotten along comfortably with them. But if you're someone who gets bored and restless pretty quickly when you find yourself doing repetitive tasks.....you're always going to have a tense relationship with these kinds of games. Its not good or bad....just different...and it helps to know your own tastes and preferences (which is what this ultimately is). I get along well with loot games....but I can't stand Dark Souls games..and other games that rely making the player weak for their difficulty. I can grind a game like The Division 2 happily for months....but give me a Dark Souls game and I'll be ready to quit in a combination of boredom and frustration in under an hour.

 • I know what your saying and usually i would have multiple builds. I don’t know mabey it’s just too similar to div1 . It just wore me out much faster than anticipated . I had multiple builds in d1 and loved grinding them . D2 not so much . It’s the games fault its the mass burnout on loot based games I guess. I’m not trying to dog the division2. I’m just saying it didn’t hold my interest long and burned me out much quicker than expected .

 • That's why I said you hit 500, you try a few builds, you find out they're all boring, you grind missions to min max for a few measly increments of betterness to your build and you don't have anything to play for because 999/1000 of your drops are useless junk to you. Nobody said once you hit max score it's totally over. There's nothing new to do but it takes a few days of grinding and you have your build about as good as it can get. They -blam!-ed up loot in this game as bad as Anthem did, it's just a dirty little secret the community refuses to admit to themselves.
