I am super excited for the story/lore to progress. We are at the tail end of this season now but I am confident that going back to Leviathan is more than about opulence, something big is headed our way and this where it all begins !!
Edit: Yes I miss Destiny 1 as much as so many of you. But as a franchise I want destiny to always exist. The lore, story and this world Bungie has created has become an important part of so many of our lives.
Included remembrance from TTK for nostalgia, as the wait continues. Enjoy 😄 !!

Bungie has failed to live up to the community’s expectations virtually every time with the exception of TTK, the April Update in TTK and AoT. Having stopped playing 72 days ago, due to many reasons and issues with D2, I’m done with Bungie’s hype and other Guardians optimism for the future of this franchise. I loved Destiny, played it almost exclusively for 3 years. Destiny 2 with the exception of better cutscenes and some other small improvements (mantling), has continually fallen short of, or shit over the memory of the original game. Unless Season of Opulence is D2’s version of TTK April Update combined with AoT, is -blam!-ing amazing and executed flawlessly enough to make me forget the Shitnami that has been D2, I’m done with this franchise, Bungie and “games as a service”. TL;dr long time fan of the franchise stating a lack of optimism due to Bungie’s previous multiple -blam!- ups.
