I paused playing this game since around Jan or Feb. I might play sometimes but no longer that hot minded as its earlier days. This game is dull, and some areas are disappointing , like the chaotic opening in the last forge and repetitive missions for PVErs.
I returned yesterday and played til tonight. The game seems easier than its initial release and things are getting more doable. But still, this game is lacking of content to keep it continue to run atm. The IB comes and goes regularly, the missions , strikes , NFs , PVP modes, Flash points are regularly cycling every week. Such cycling is... I afraid I am pretty bored with that and I see no point to get to 700 while following this cycle.
This seasonal event, Revelry, is the reason why I return. The colours are sharp and beautiful that have made the armors looks smarter than tears and trons during the Forsaken DLC. I know the content is still the same but at least the colourful design is more attractive. I like it. D2 definately needs events like Revelry to keeps its freshness.

The only point in getting to 700 is to prepare for next season, do Reckoning, or to go for the Outbreak Perfected exotic. It's why I've only just now started to infuse my gear up. I also returned a month or two ago after leaving in Curse of Osiris, and though the game generally feels better, it's still quite repetitive. I was a bit disappointed to see all the Y1 armor and weapons made irrelevant, and Ikora's meditation armor become unobtainable. Seems like a lot of the game is just logging in to do chores for the week and that's it. One thing I wish we could do is just replay all the story missions at will. One thing I loved to do in Halo games was just play through the whole campaign time and time again. I like doing things when there's a narrative behind them. I also wish the areas sealed off after their respective campaign mission or adventure was completed would be opened. I like exploring in open world games, but a lot of areas are only visited once or twice and then never seen again.
