Oh great. Another one of these threads. If you think the PvP base is responsible for near every nerf, you spend too much time on the forums. Also, spectral needed it. Cry me a river.

  • Aren’t they though? PvE never complains about a weapon, super, or armor piece being OP. Looking back, every fun super and exotic that got nerfed came from whiners like you in PvP

  • Yes, I'm sure gjallerhorn, whisper, and tether were nerfed because of their overuse in PvP. Oh wait, that didn't happen. All 3 were nerfed because of PVE. Gjallerhorn especially. And those were just off of the top of my head. Not to mention, most PvP nerfs are due to shitty PVE players going into crucible and getting completely stomped because they're bad at shooting anything other than bots. Need proof? Just look at the revelry and the dozens of PvE players rejoicing over grenade spam in PvP while slamming actual PvP players for the overuse of Luna's/Not Forgotten. So hop off with that "whiners like you" garbage and get a seeing eye dog to help with that blindness.

  • Yes, I’m sure Shards, Nova, Spectral, OEM, Wormhusk, Raiden, MIDA, Wardcliff, Sleeper, and thunderlord were nerfed by complaining PvE players. It’s also funny how you think PvE players want to go into PvP and don’t just go in to finish a quest.

Sleeper and Shards were both PvP and PvE nerfs. Bungie dislikes things dominating in PvE and they both did. Wardcliff is stronger than ever in PvE. Dunno what you're smokin on that one pal Raider Flux was never used in PvP. The hit based extension wasn't practical in PvP where you 1 shot things you hit. OEM, Nova and Spectral were actually op. Nova got hit too hard, though. Spectral and OEM are still good. You really don't know what you're talking about on a lot of these. And Scouts suck in general, not just MIDA. That was also equally a PvP and PvE nerf because scouts were always weapon of choice in PvE y1 And machine guns were specifically nerfed on their boss damage. There's no bosses in PvP bud.

  • I can see why for scouts. It would make bows obsolete. Rinse and repeat.

  • No it didn't. Now it'll be the next thing that sucks, and something else will become the new op thing

  • It really didnt need it in PvE though. That's why the nerf sucks. If only Bungie could finally separate PvE and PvP

  • Spectral sucked in PvE regardless. It's not for PvE other than screwing around. Each tree of each subclass has a niche. Not every tree needs to be the best in every activity.

  • Well Spectral is actually built to be good in both. Headshots make you invisible, your smokes blind enemies and stun them, and it has melting point, too. So it sucks the actual SUPER is trash in PvE

  • Pretty much everything in the tree is geared towards PvP other than the weakening from stealth. The hit tracking in PvE was always atrocious. You're grasping at straws. Each one of those abilities can do something in PvE sure, but are clearly more effective and built for PvP

  • I disagree. Invis is definitely more geared towards PvE. And the smokes deny entire groups of ads. Plus the whole melting point thing. So that's 2 (and a half?) Abilities out of its 3 that work better in PvE. Although really, this debate is kinda pointless. No matter which way you slice it; Bungie needs to separate PvE and PvP balance.

  • Sorry man, but no. Let me know next time your raid or NF or any endgame team prefers you to run that over tether or Goldy with celestial. It's for PvP. It always has been.

  • I use it a lot in raids. If I dont need dps, then I use it. It's great for survivability. Ads are no problem if they cant see you. And the melting point is helpful for taking down VIP targets like the knights in Kali's fight. Truth is, you can use pretty much every subclass pretty much everywhere. It depends on how you use them. But again, this whole debate doesnt matter because whether or not spectral was "meant" for PvE, people use it there. PvP and PvE balance have needed to be separate since the beginning of D1. That's still the case.
