Hey all,
A few weeks back, we talked about Enhancement Cores coming from Gunsmith bounties in the TWAB. I wanted to give a quick update on this, as it also involves Mod Components, which have been a topic of discussion as well. Please note- this is all still in development for Season of Opulence, and could change.
• Originally announced in the TWAB, these bounties would cost Gunsmith materials. This has been changed to Glimmer.
• There will be multiple daily bounties to complete, each rewarding one enhancement core and two mod components
• There will be two weekly bounties to complete. These will each grant one enhancement core, one mod (Weapon or Armor), and other materials or reputation/rank points depending on the objective of the bounty.
• Note: When I say rank points, think Valor or Infamy, **not** Glory.
The team is continuing to evaluate feedback over mod components, enhancement cores, and rewards all up. Thank you for the continued feedback. We'll give you updates as we have them.

So, it's pretty clear that the vast majority of the playerbase would be very happy if Enhancement Cores were reverted back to Masterwork Cores in name and in function. But that's only one side of this ordeal. I would like you, dmg, to ask your coworkers at Bungie, "Hey, WHY do WE want Enhancement Cores in our game?" and then, I want to hear their response. A little transparency, as some would describe it. There's always been an argument AGAINST having "cores" as a part of infusion costs, so let's hear the argument FOR having such a mundane currency. As for you, dmg, I appreciate you. A lot. I've seen players on the forums direct their frustrations at you, which is completely unfair. Don't leave Bungie any time soon, please.
