So early yesterday the weekly update addressed Luna/NF getting a nerf to basically this:
*Will now fire at 150RPM
*Mag-Howl can no longer 2-Tap
I totally can understand a rof nerf to the gun; Its way too forgiving, fells sticky as ever, and is easy to use on console with little to no effort because it’s a 180. Having said that, a rof nerf sounds like a very reasonable fix!... until they decided to also touch upon Mag-Howl.
This perk alone summed up the decision as a player-base to go get the weapon, and with it came TONS of dedication, effort, blood sweat, and tears to some. This perk is what set it aside from the rest of the D2 hand cannons, and would be balanced even at 150RPM! It was its signature perk that made it a true pinnacle weapon like the rest.
The decision to nerf it? Only to stop 2 taps? That was really situational. In reality, you had to know what you were doing to get this to work constantly, and being a Luna’s user I rarely pulled that off.
Final thoughts... RPM Nerf? Agreed... Mag-Howl nerf? Please no, thats just hurting the gun to almost having nothing special. To keep a happy fanbase of dedicated and competitive players, just rethink what you’re doing here.

My thoughts? Basically, the game needs a big change to make PvP even remotely fresh and even then given the current state connection wise, it won't be as good as it was even before in D2. The Luna's Howl and Not Forgotten ruined PvP over the course of 8 months and the people who have them, particularly NF are defending them and saying that only one needs to be nerfed when they're the same weapon but one has better stats. I have Luna's and contrary to what the snobs out there will tell you, I worked hard for it. Am I disappointed that it needs a nerf? Yes. Am I surprised? Not at all. They came in strong enough to break PvP and were quickly established as part of the meta and no matter what the rest for the meta was it wasn't a real counter. If you don't have it, the game is harder for you. If you're good enough to have it, the game is easier when you don't necessarily need to make it easier. Is it too much? Maybe, but we won't know till it happens. Yet even if it is too much, does it matter? In my opinion, no cause as I said we need the game to change. People argue the recluse will be next, however the recluse requires being almost within shotgun 2 tap range so it's a higher risk, especially when pulse rifles and other 180 hand canons will still be good. Nerfing the easiest weapons in the game was always going to happen, especially when most people who have one use it constantly and for good reason, it's strong. In the end it's like literally any other gun or ability nerf, it happens because its been top tier and overused for too long, not because of any "crybabies" like once again, the snobs out there would have you believe.
