I have Luna, got it this season, and I could agree with you but I don't, let me explain why. The grind for these weapons is awful so after all the time and efforts a player puts in line, he/she deserves the BEST weapon. These are called pinnacle weapons for a reason! Now, are these weapons unfair in comp against people grinding to get them?? Yes they are and that's exactly why Bungie should have made some changes in the comp playlists and/or balanced all weapons in general. Nerfing is never the solution, optimize other weapons to be on par with Luna's and NF is the way. Why don't make a second comp playlist where pinnacle weapons are banned?? So one playlist where you can use whatever you want and another where you can't. Maybe create a comp playlist with specific loadouts that would put all players on par and only skills will make the difference. This would be a solution, not nerfing. Now, since they decided to go with the "Nerf soluion" they should AT LEAST make both weapons easier to acquire 'cause there's no way people are going to grind for NF to get a weapon that's the shadow of what it is right now.
