As a purely PVE sweat, I still grinded out the steps of LH and recluse and personally feel that the nerf is uncalled for. If someone as mediocre as me can still earn a pinnacle weapon, he or she should be able to use them at its full strength and not a watered-down version. The quest is available to anyone and everyone so it's not truly an exclusivity issue. Additionally, it does demand a fair degree of dueling skill to properly wield the LH and come out ahead (can't speak from experience for the nf but I'd reckon it's a similar situation). Yes, it has a fair degree of aim assist (it's a precision frame after all), but that mindset and twitch reaction speed is something I've developed after grinding the quest steps. Now, the gun will feel alien in my hands and (I'd speculate) the hands of many players who earned this weapon properly. In actuality, the ghorn pve nerf in D1 was more warranted since not everyone could immediately acquire it (and yet I still disagree with it). Just like in that example, those who aquire the weapons post nerf will never be able to experience their full power or glory (thus robbing them of an experience in-game).
However, the reason I'm not raging and reeling at this latest nerf backhand from Bungie is that I still have a god rolled service revolver-accurized rounds, true sights, rapid hit/kill clip with reload MW (aka the new NF) and god rolled erentil-torch hs3, moving target, backup plan, protection fuse, range MW (aka Voop machine) to keep me warm in these cold, COLD times.
