Not everyone got the gun(s) day one. A lot of people had to get better at pvp first. They grind and grind to get these amazing weapons. After all their hard work and excitement to use the weapons they get slapped in the face with a nerf. It feels more like a betrayal. I don’t even have a nf and it bothers me. They should not be nerfing the weapons, they should create weapons to challenge them.

Well said. Those two should be legends that are alive, not legends long put to rest.

Tell that to D1 Thorn. I’m fully amused at the bellyaching with this. Hardcore sweats -blam!- and moaned that Thorn was unfair and OP and successfully got it nerfed. Admittedly, Luna’s quest is harder than was Thorn’s but it was t a walk in the park. BUT now, we have another gun that’s OP in crucible, and those same sweats are moaning. Same level of abuse. Same level of unfair between the two guns. The difference: anybody willing to put in a lot of time could get thorn. Only “good” players can get Luna’s. I laugh at the hypocrisy. If normal kids get their toy messed with “good they needed that,” but heaven forbid somebody mess with a toy only the “cool” kids can get. That said, I don’t think Luna’s is that big big of a problem, but I think the meta does need a refresh and the gun needed an adjustment. You put yourself at a true disadvantage if you had it and didn’t use it. It is exponentially better than alternatives. Regardless of wether or not you have one, you cannot make a sound argument that that’s not the case. And if that is the case, something needed to be done. The only argument I hear is “wah!!!! I spent so much time and I feel insulted they did this to me personally. Bungie screwed us and We should form a union and pretend to walk away from the game forever- until we come back tomorrow.” Which, even if the above were true it doesn’t matter because sentiment, dedication, emotions have ZERO place in balancing. It neuters both guns a bit - still leaves them as likely money HC, though. Just others will get consideration. I don’t like nerfs as a general rule. But when the usage numbers are SO outta wack on one gun, you gotta do something.
