Yeah but sadly it's kinda a.... Well..... A big cause of the "outrage culture" you're seeing in videogames, especially live games like failout, but also games like division, anthem, of course destiny.... Is that people are saying "you are doing things we don't like" and the closest they get to a response is "well go play something else"... Or as destiny put it... "she can leave this game"......
People are sick of being ignored. Most businesses when enough of a population says "We're sick of this shit -blam!-ing stop" they change the way they do things.... And similarly when they try to institute a policy and it collapses day one they change the policy....
It's kinda like there was a narrow window where new fast food restaurants and hotels, as well as existing businesses, were being remodeled to have narrow little "reception tables" like an istore that could just be walked around... Staff and customers said, pretty uniformly.. "Don't do this, it is not safe".... But business was like "this is the new paradigm, you must adapt and accept it is the way things are now."... They have since turned around and ran the -blam!- away from that policy because it was resulting in a massive increase to robberies, assaults, -blam!-.... Just like people told them it would...
One notable example is a case where a fast food cashier was grabbed by the throat by a frustrated customer who attempted to strangle her, forcing her to defend her self. (because he couldn't find the straws)...
Businesses are treated like they can just do whatever they want and they're beyond consequences... And you know? I respect that. It is your business, it is absolutely your right to do what ever you want. But people are getting sick of it...
And to be blunt. The customers of this industry want to see one of the big companies fail... And they want to feel like "yeah and we did it to you, you should have listened"....... When your customers are legit rooting for you to fail, nothing good can come of it.
