“Attempting” being the key word. Whilst most people reading your post will understand what you wanted to convey the word chosen to do so is wrong none the less. Either way, I don’t perceive you understanding this fact 😂

Actually the word is both grammatically correct and well used. Sad day when a guardian such as yourself has such poor command of simple language.
