Back when I was but a wee lad, I was introduced to the wonderful world of gaming. Intellivision, Colleco, Atari, Nintendo, Jaguar, Dreamcast, Super Nintendo, N64, Playstation, XBOX, PS2, PS3, and finally, the PS4, with the introduction of the Density edition of the PS4 for the Taken King (yeah, we know who got taken there, am I right or am I right).
I unwrapped that beautiful white console with the gold map upon it with all the joy, one old fart of a man-boy could contain and quickly ignored my wife and children as I plugged it in and proceeded to lovingly do all the updates and downloads that were required before gaming could begin.
I dusted the entertainment center and moved my PS3 down to the bottom row, giving it a found pat, then placed that shiny new PS4 in its rightful & prominent place, its new home! I cleaned the screen on my TV, filled my drink up with my beverage of choice at that time, repositioned my now deceased & much mourned recliner and kept waiting in happy anticipation for all that updating & downloading to finish.
As time went by, I purchased a dual controller charger, 3 more controllers, white camo, green camo & midnight blue, to complete my controller family of 4.
I brought my CoD Ghosts Turtle Beach headset over from the PS3, but I had some issues, so I bought 2 more Turtle Beach headsets and they did not pair well either. Then I bought a Plantronics Rig 400 and it was wonderful! The mic died on those and I decided to buy something a bit better, so I purchased the Sennheiser GSP 300 headset & new even greater heights of sound quality!
Then, Friday night, after a pleasant evening of gaming, some with HoTh, then later with Loot Crate, I decided I was going to buy the discounted ESO on the PlayStation store and then, at that moment of purchase, my PS4 froze! I figured maybe it was an issue with my interwebs, but no, the numbers were strong!
After 10 minutes, the old girl relaxed and unfroze. I figured, maybe I had been too rough with her, so I would just put on a show and we could relax together. So I went to the TV app on my PS4 and she struggled, she struggled mightily to satisfy my needs yet again! Then, as a show was selected, she froze once more. After half an hour, she unfroze again and with great concern, I wished her a good night and bid her to get some rest.
Then I woke Saturday morning to my kids saying that PS4 was locked up and they could not turn their show on! This was scary news, for with that, I realized she was in serious trouble! So after enough time had past, she unfroze one last time and I shut her down and called a repair shop.
She goes in for testing and diagnostics on Monday & I plan to be there waiting for her to make a full recovery!
So please wish her the best and send her your thoughts, prayers & donations of Energon to the repair shop where she lies in slumber, awaiting the PS4 certified doctor to save her life and return her to her family & home.

This is SO SAD. Alexa, play Old Town Roads

Oh! Pity I wasn’t here when your chair died. I imagine that was a wonderful post.

RIP, I have not had this much sadness sense the day I heard your chair broke, I am glad, however they both had good lives and served you well.

I’ve had my PlayStation since 2013, so we’ll out from under the warranty. So I learned how to clean, small replacements, and some maintenance which has really helped elongate her life and keep her running quietly! There are so many videos on how to do the small things that help with longevity that I highly recommend! Last thing I did was replace the Bluetooth antennae with a new one (it cost $9 and some change) and it took me about 20 minutes to install! While in there I cleaned her out again so the fan doesn’t get junk in it with a can of compressed air. #DIY

These damn millennial machines just don't have the backbones of the older generations.. if the old ones froze you'd just have to blow in the cartridge and it'd run like new... No need of going to these psychiatrist repairs for their brains... They're just made so weak and soft these days.. can't imagine how they'll survive when they get older in life.

Ok let’s see... yada yada yada white PS4. Played with Hoth and Crate (giggity). The PS store froze it yada yada yada then the kids broke it (you’ll have that) blah blah blah called repair shop hope “they” can fix it. Well you first problem is that you have a PS4, shoulda bought an XboX. #DREAMCASTMASTERRACE
It’s Thinking
