I believe it’s a very good thing to have this discussion pinned. I really do, but it’s also getting to be that time for us to have a real reason behind Bungie’s decision.
I think there may be a path to us both (Community and Bungie) getting what we want, but only if we can have an honest dialogue.
Without that honesty, we are both in a corner.
- Community committed to removing cores.
- Bungie committed to whatever underpins cores.
That’s not a healthy cycle. Fatigue is the only result in almost every aspect from gameplay to comms to brand et. Al.
For the sake of argument, if we accept that the only reason cores exist in infusion is meaningful choice, then removing them from that process ends this whole issue. Meaningful choice is inherent in the game already, which is fundamentally why no one accepts the argument.
So, maintaining that argue while refusing to remove them can only prove that there is some other reason.
If we do not get to that discussion, you’ll lock us both in this cycle indefinitely. Fatigue and mistrust will keep many from playing D3 and land you right back here again with those that remain... if you even manage to get to that point.
