Lol. . .exactly! That's what baffles me about this whole rant/demand. It's masterwork that takes so many cores, not infusion! A low light weapon can be infused to the max 700 (from A 700 weapon of course) for only 1, 2, or 3 (if exotic) cores. That's so easy to come by, but 17 to mw . . .thats what they should be complaining about, not infusion . .wtf?
-
Yeah and on top of that the only worthwhile thing about a master worked weapon is the orbs the bonus stats don't do anything huge, just a plus 10 for everything except blast radius and impact for swords which is 5.

Right! So if you have one or two MW "go to" weapons for each slot then let infusion become the priority for awhile . . but save those infusion cores for big jumps only. Don't even worry about armor till way later. Imho it's just the way we have to manage them until when and if anything changes. Still gonna have to grind the pathways for the cores . .its just the way it is.

Exactly people are just going to have to get used to it. Though the people that farmed them from the exploit. I feel like bungie should give us a 100 for free just cause.
-
But they both take away from each other. If you have 17 cores and you need to infuse...

Edited by PowZ: 4/14/2019 4:00:38 PMYes they do. You are right. So for now and until anything changes it becomes a decision of priorities. We have to carefully choose which weapons to mw . . . and when to infuse. Never infuse for a few levels of light . .the difference in damage is not worth it. Only mw your favorite most effective few weapons. Eventually you'll have them all where you want them. Yes it takes time and patience. The grind is real . .

@PowZ Part of what the developers stress however is being able to try new archetypes of armor and weapons. As I said, there's literally hundreds, if not thousands of combos of perks and features that could be very interesting, but it's very unlikely that anyone is really going to experiment with things. Yes, I have a few MW weapons that I really like and I use them all the time. I have no MW armor (other than some Y1 raid armor that I use for the extra damage and punching things for ammo. I am not going to waste my time trying new things, because there's not "impactful infusion" or impactful MW'ing. it's just danged painful. I would be ok at this point if they just killed the whole thing. I love getting orbs from my MW weapons and they make a difference, but 99.99% of the weapons you will never be able to have the cores to MW anyway, so why have them?
-
@Tigerheart55, good points . .you are right. The system is limiting its own design. Tryin to make the best of it. I spend a third or more of my gaming time just farming cores . . its what we have to do if we want to have more variety of enhanced weapons.

Edited by AvalancheDC: 4/14/2019 4:07:22 PMMy point is that those choices should not be the same. Choosing between two pieces of gear or weapons should be different from which piece of gear or weapon I am MW.
