Baker: Hey all! I changed the recipe of your favorite cake!
Customers: Whoa. This cake is WAY too salty!
Baker: We think that extra salt enhances the taste experience!
Customers: No, not at all. It ruins the cake entirely. We preferred the cake the way it was.
Baker: Well, sorry. The cake stays as it is. We'll start handing out some coupons. How's that?
Customers: NO. The cake is awful. Your customers are starting to go to other bakers. Change the recipe back to the way it was.
Baker: Nope. The cake really needed enhancement. We really think that extra cup of salt brought some impact. Tell you what, we'll give you a different place to get coupons and we'll throw in a bon bon. There. We're all friends again.
Customers: Sigh...

Is this cake a 'Salt Loaf'? 😆 Baked in Eva's Holiday Oven
-
If you smell the cake, it doesn’t appear to be salt that was added💩
-
Great Analogy - especially the part about people going to different Bakeries..
-
This cake is not a lie
-
Bungie isn't giving coupons. They're selling you extra packeges of salt...😋
-
They ain't even selling salt, they are selling coupons for salt which you can only cash in once you've done their chores 😂
-
Close enough. Added bonus I can’t stop loling at the people who are trying to harness the cake analogy to fit their own personal narrative. 🤣🤣😊
-
Sorry, all the bakeries that did that all went out of business. I only get my cakes from oriental grocery stores now. They are okay and consistent, more importantly they don’t claim or force you to enhance anything and they don’t need any feedback since it’s cheap.
-
Also probably made from cat lol
-
That, I wouldn’t know since I don’t ever dare to get seafood there.

Edited by Necrogen: 4/13/2019 3:59:49 PMYou can just go to another bakery or bake the cake yourself. I like the example though. It's just oversimplifying programming decisions and what not.
-
How many MORE people have to leave this bakery, before it closes?
-
Well, they aint gonna keep it open for the ten or so bungie/destiny addicts who come in here bashing the rest of us! Thats for sure.
-
That's a well constructed analogy, kudos.

Destiny 2: The Cake Stays Awful
This is brilliant, and very much spot on. It's also much better than my analogy about how Bungie is asking us to play Basketball with a Golfclub, and how this isnt what I signed up for.
-
Might have actually been better to make it them trying to make us play golf with a basketball ball. It'll go about 3 meters every time we hit because we don't want to break the club, but it'll be super impactful when we finally reach that hole 550 yards away that the ball doesn't fit in.
-
Salt doesn't belong in cake, Bungie. Nice analogy!
-
I rather have this analogy than this stupid "Let's get this bread" quote from a certain someone that everyone seems to flock over. Sheep will be sheep.
-
I'll pass this on to the dev. team
-
Edited by Demon_XXVII: 4/16/2019 2:16:36 PMI'm so relieved that I have no fvcking idea what that quote is about, nor whom you refer to saying it 😆
-
You know you could be called a sheep as well because you are part of a group that hates something right? We can stop labeling members of the community and just be better.
-
My apologies. You're right. I'm just aggreviated with how everything has been going. Again I'm only human. Let's hope things turn around for the better for this franchise.
-
Great analogy. Ive defended Bungie for years but Ive seen the light, these guys are idiots.
-
Edited by TheArtist: 4/14/2019 1:57:46 PMAs an organization, they are arrogant idiots. Which is even more infuriating. They are actively destroying their own game, while stubbornly defending the means by which they are doing it. Shrug....

Was really hoping you would squeeze in "the cake is a lie" somewhere. Oh well. :(
