One SLIGHT problem here. This isn't what the players are wanting. We shouldn't need more ways to get cores because cores should not be such an integral part of our experience... In other words, they need to be removed from infusion, and stay purely for masterworking an item. The excuse of wanting infusion to be special is ludicrous, because it wasn't special at all in D1 and it worked just fine, so why would we wanna make it such a special occasion now?
I appreciate the effort here, but this is simply not what we need. How many times until the higher-ups at Bungie get it do we have to say this? Remove the cores from infusion, keep them just for masterworking.
How many times until the higher-ups at Bungie get it.
You're assuming this had been escalated to them. I honestly don't see how this train wreck of a "conversation" and broken feedback loop could have kept going for so long, while player count continued to nosedive weeks after a fresh content drop, if any executive with accountability for present and future performance was exposed to the full extent of the nonsense going on here. And if they were already exposed. And knew of the latest "1 core for a weekly" gem... well yeah. There's the (our) problem right there.

That's part of my point. There's no way that the execs don't know anything about this, and we're not getting what we've been shouting about for the past few months. Either no one up there is smart enough to do it or they don't care enough to. They're trying to force their philosophy on what the game should be like on us and we're pushing back to no avail. It would take the game literally dropping into the 100s or below for them to do it probably.
