Not really a discussion when it's so one-sided. You just keep pushing your own ideas and decisions instead of actually talking with the community to see if they also agree, or if they have another idea. Where's the "discussion"?
That's not to say that Gunsmith Bounties are a bad idea; had you done this from the beginning, it would have probably worked. The months of frustration over the Masterwork Core economy, however, has made many players sour about the whole thing, and would just prefer for Infusion to return to how it was before Forsaken.
There was never any real reason to make Enhancement Cores a part of infusion, and the "meaningful/impactful progression" excuse it's just that, an excuse. There's nothing "impactful" about it at all. It was just a nuisance. They were fine for Masterworks, and should have stayed that way.
If you wanted to create other uses for them, you could have made them a currency for enhancing weapon and armor perks/mods, upgrading Year 1 gear to Year 2, or perk and stat rerolling on Exotic and Legendary armor.
I will say this though: I do like this idea of adding Gunsmith Bounties that will give us Enhancement Cores, Mods, and Mod Components. It was also a wise decision to change the cost for purchasing these bounties from Gunsmith materials to Glimmer.
