Are you tired of the fluff and distractions from Bungie? I am going to start this off by saying I do not speak for everyone. I am sure there are a plethora of individuals that are still deeply invested in Destiny 2. However I will say this; I do not understand what direction the Bungie team is taking with Destiny 2. When I say “direction” I am referring to game content and updates.
There is an ongoing trend of fluff and distractions released from Bungie. Many people may be blind to it, but I am not. There is so much fluff coming from Bungie it is incredible. Fans receive fluff when we push our concerns and issues at Bungie. The Bungie team replies with fluff. Fluff like, “we are listening” and “we are researching the issues”. That is fluff. Every release of content after Forsaken has been fluff. Fluff like; exotic emotes, vanity drops, sparrows, ornaments, subclass patches, reskined weapons...etc.
I can see all the fluff and distractions Bungie is pushing toward fans. “Arc Week” is all fluff. Patches and fixes that should of been released with Forsaken are fluff and the team passes it off as content. Even this new update called “Revelry” is all just fluff. The infinite forest should of been established as a survival/dungeon type experience from the very beginning of its creation. The team should of established the infinite forest as another great PVE experience that is always accessible and offers meaningful content and loot after a completion. There is so much that could be done with that area of the game the possibilities are so vast. Yet the Bungie team continues to tease fans with that idea and remove it when they deem necessary.
I will get off my high horse. I could continue but I will stop here. I just do not understand what direction the Bungie team is taking with Destiny 2. If a sequel is in the works and requires a majority of the team to be working on that; fine. However in my opinion Destiny 2 has been fluff and distractions since the game has come out. After the honeymoon phase fans realized this game was bleak and unrewarding.
Destiny 2 at the core was not right. I say these things because I am a die hard fan. I love the lore, the story, the gameplay, and the community. If was not a fan I would not be here. I haven’t touched Destiny 2 in about a month. I hope Bungie learns from their mistakes and continues to develop great meaningful content/loot that will keep fans like me engaged for a long time.

I'm pretty sure I'll have 0 time for the Revelry. It's like School is a big thing this month for many.
