It's not cheating when it's a bug on bungies end. If that's how they handled it, everyone who glitched the last wish chest should have had their "rewards" taken away and banned. It doesn't work like that.

Why is a raid chest accessible from patrol in the first place? Remember in Destiny 1 you could glitch into raid areas for VOG and WOTM from patrol, but no chests were accessible unless you entered from the raid activity. So why are they accessible in Destiny 2 patrol? On a side note, the way into the LW raid is obvious and almost intended as there are ledges leading to the gap in the crevice.

It’s not my fault Best Buy left their doors unlocked. I worked hard getting all the TVs out of there, I shouldn’t have to give them back or be punished. See how silly your rationale sounds when given a real world context. Bungie -blam!-ed up their code and left a loophole. People CHOSE to exploit it in a manner they knew was wrong. Those people should have to suffer the consequences for their actions. Don’t want the punishment, don’t cheat in the first place. Yes they should wipe out all their progress during the exploit window. All materials or gear gained or altered during that timeframe should be deleted. Same goes for the raid chest glitching in Last Wish before the raid even went live if that was even possible at this point. Hold people accountable for that and other bullshit behaviour (cheating in pvp, etc).
