Hey all,
A few weeks back, we talked about Enhancement Cores coming from Gunsmith bounties in the TWAB. I wanted to give a quick update on this, as it also involves Mod Components, which have been a topic of discussion as well. Please note- this is all still in development for Season of Opulence, and could change.
• Originally announced in the TWAB, these bounties would cost Gunsmith materials. This has been changed to Glimmer.
• There will be multiple daily bounties to complete, each rewarding one enhancement core and two mod components
• There will be two weekly bounties to complete. These will each grant one enhancement core, one mod (Weapon or Armor), and other materials or reputation/rank points depending on the objective of the bounty.
• Note: When I say rank points, think Valor or Infamy, **not** Glory.
The team is continuing to evaluate feedback over mod components, enhancement cores, and rewards all up. Thank you for the continued feedback. We'll give you updates as we have them.

I'm seeing the same thing over and over. And I agree. How can bungie not see that no one wants cores? You should level by playing.. Not stopping to grind for a core.. It's ridiculous.
-
Players : we don't want infusion cores it is ruining the experience Bungie : we hear your feedback... So we are doubling the cost of infusion I swear these guys are just trolling us.
-
What was wrong with d1 type leveling
-
How about we level up like every single rpg out there, by killing and gaining exp. so -blam!- these cores they can go to hell. I don't need to make any "meaningful" decisions I just play the game. How hard is it to understand NOBODY WANTS THEM.
-
Edited by GhostKing108: 4/15/2019 8:20:09 PMI've seen a lot of constructive criticisms and good suggestions on this forum, so I hope that of the collected feedback they come into play. Though I just hope that Bungie's enhancement cores are dropped as a means of infusion and replaced with legendary shards since I didn't mind using them in D1. Whereas the recently dropped masterwork cores can just do what it was meant to do, masterwork gear and weapons for their bonuses. Unless the team once again unintentionally or through a lack of foresight screw up somewhere.
-
Edited by vmondude: 4/15/2019 12:46:35 PMRemove them from infusion or probably loose even more players over your stubbornness. No one cares about your “meaningful choice” when infusing they just want to be able to use ANY of their favourite gear whenever they want. Just to play and rank it up, like a game normally is. Like D1 was!... it’s called FUN BungIe. Do you remember what that is?
-
Just get rid of them! Especially since loads of people are sitting on a ton of them since the glitch! They are awful
-
Why even have a forum since Bungie obviously doesn’t listen to or respect the opinions of their community? Bungie is going to do what Bungie wants to do. We do not matter!
-
Save it. Total grinding nonsense. I for one am out.
-
You know to an extent this is why people wanted the "summit" or what ever you guys did to be streamed. You could at lest release a transcript with names redacted so we will know what the "people you brought in to speak on our behalf" had to say. Anyway. Seriously. Here's the reality. Even if you remove cores from infusion entirely, leaving them only for masterworking. The current economy with the proposed updates is only "just enough" for that. You need to get cores out of infusion entirely. Keep this change, I approve of this change. But cores need to get out of infusion.
-
You had the answer to the enhancement economy in D1. Bring back an etheric light type resource from challenging activities and have that unlock a special perk/stat/boost power.
-
It's become clear by this second post that now it's a distraction from other issues within the game. By shaking the shinny object at people you get them to ignore some of the other glaring problems. I don't think there is any intent to listen on this just get people to keep talking. You have certainly accomplished that.
-
The problem is the LACK of discussion. You make a post and then stay silent. You need to be respond. Doesn't have to be to every comment but you need to actively responding.
-
I believe it’s a very good thing to have this discussion pinned. I really do, but it’s also getting to be that time for us to have a real reason behind Bungie’s decision. I think there may be a path to us both (Community and Bungie) getting what we want, but only if we can have an honest dialogue. Without that honesty, we are both in a corner. - Community committed to removing cores. - Bungie committed to whatever underpins cores. That’s not a healthy cycle. Fatigue is the only result in almost every aspect from gameplay to comms to brand et. Al. For the sake of argument, if we accept that the only reason cores exist in infusion is meaningful choice, then removing them from that process ends this whole issue. Meaningful choice is inherent in the game already, which is fundamentally why no one accepts the argument. So, maintaining that argue while refusing to remove them can only prove that there is some other reason. If we do not get to that discussion, you’ll lock us both in this cycle indefinitely. Fatigue and mistrust will keep many from playing D3 and land you right back here again with those that remain... if you even manage to get to that point.
-
I hate to tell you but rather than infusion feeling impactful, it feels like a huge inconvenience and annoyance. I like to wonder what you gain from ignoring the 90% of people who say take them out. Is it that hard to understand that people DO NOT WANT THEN IN THE GAME?
-
LOL Just watched the Exploit Core Video and these idiots still aren’t taking Cores out of infusion lmfao Master worked every weapon and Gear piece and still had 1000s left over . The rest of you loyal Bungie Fanboys will be farming your life away to do one set of gear before 2020 lmao Then they will launch D3 take everything you spent hours of your lives farming and upgrading away . Sell it all back to you for the 4th time lol Bungie is Hot Garbage !!!!! And doesn’t give a dam about any of you !!
-
Solution: Remove cores entirely from infusion now. Thank you. That is al ...
-
I can't for the life of me figure out why this is the topic that Bungie is willing to say "The heck with you all, this is the way that we're going to do this and if you don't like it, tough". You have literally hundreds of random combos on weapons and armor, and theoretically, you keep doing this to give diversity to the game and encourage people to try new weapons and armor perks, yet your beyond parsimonious doling out of enhancement cores means that there's no way a player can afford to actually masterwork weapons and armor beyond just a couple, and now you are graciously going to guarantee 1 core per bounty, whay is that going to make any difference in the world? It will take 10 bounties to masterwork a single weapon. I presume you think that people live on tro play the game. WHo's got that kind of time? I really think you should revisit your decision on this
-
I feel you have to spend way to much time going after enhancement cores, I have 3 guardians as do a lot of other people I'm sure. Now if anybody else out there is like me they have certain weapons or armor that they love and hate to play without, so you end up doing a lot of infusing which in turn means a lot of enhancement cores. I like the fact that there's bounties you can do to get them but I personally think you should just be able to buy them with legendary shards ( for a set amount not double every time ya buy one) or maybe how about making use of them vendors on all the planets, have them sell enhancement cores, or banshee for weapon parts, zavala for vanguard tokens and so on, make use of all this stuff that's in our inventory that's just sitting there.
-
Honestly I believe due to your Enhancement cores alone, your game is in a worse state then it was on release. I cant even use my favorite gear because the upkeep cost of upgrading is preventing it. There is no good way to acquire enough ECs without a exploit to make the gane enjoyable. I get pushed closer and closer like the majority of the community to quitting the game and moving to more rewarding games like Division 2 and Warframe
-
Screw your bounties, just take the damned cores away dammit.
-
There is no meaningful choices if you have 1000 cores in your vault! The choices are to not play any PVP activity against fully masterworked Guardians. now, that’s a meaningful choice !
-
hEy YaLl! a FeW wEeKs aGo We tAlKEd aBoUt... 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
-
Remove cores from infusion. Smdh.
-
Yeah I just decided to give up on destiny 2 and just play the division 2 until Bungie can listen to the players...
-
So does the team get off on ignoring feedback? I've heard of, "cutting your nose to spite your face", but this is ridiculous. You're like the most obstinate group of man children I've ever seen. For the love of this series just remove enhancement cores. At least you'd garner some good will back from the community despite the other massive and glaring flaws you refuse to adress.
