Hey all,
A few weeks back, we talked about Enhancement Cores coming from Gunsmith bounties in the TWAB. I wanted to give a quick update on this, as it also involves Mod Components, which have been a topic of discussion as well. Please note- this is all still in development for Season of Opulence, and could change.
• Originally announced in the TWAB, these bounties would cost Gunsmith materials. This has been changed to Glimmer.
• There will be multiple daily bounties to complete, each rewarding one enhancement core and two mod components
• There will be two weekly bounties to complete. These will each grant one enhancement core, one mod (Weapon or Armor), and other materials or reputation/rank points depending on the objective of the bounty.
• Note: When I say rank points, think Valor or Infamy, **not** Glory.
The team is continuing to evaluate feedback over mod components, enhancement cores, and rewards all up. Thank you for the continued feedback. We'll give you updates as we have them.

How about the people that have thousands of "enhancement chores" thanks to your bad code? We, that play the game as it should be played (honestly) are screwed. Meanwhile you "best & brightest" are swiming in "chores"
-
I mean im willing to see how the economy improves with the bounties but i think the weekly bounties should award more than 1 core. Could even just make the weekly give out a masterworked weapon, so people that have cores can get a cool gunsmith weapon and the people that need cores can break it down for cores.

Oh wow. One whole Core for completing a Weekly Bounty. Calm down guys, you wouldn't want the players that actually put time into this game to feel rewarded.
-
I have literally stopped playing Destiny because I feel like Bungie does not respect the time their players invest in the game. Enhancement Cores in infusion is the main reason for this. If enhancement cores in infusion weren't a thing, season of drifter wouldn't feel pointless to me because then I could actually USE that gambit prime armor I am receiving as I am progressing without the need to grind a bunch of other crap for enhancement cores in order to infuse this armor to an appropriate power level. Enhancement cores should be for masterworking only!! This is the VAST majority of feedback that Bungie has received, yet NOTHING is being done. All we are asking is respect for our time investment. One simple fix. Remove enhancement cores from infusion. You are going to get players back if you do this. I won't be back until it happens.

Edited by Cosmix: 5/1/2019 4:42:38 AMClearly, you’re actually not listening at all, It’s the Simplest move you could do - Remove Them From Infusion! Stop giving us stuff all, saying “We’re listening guys, don’t worry” And then proceed to make the problem worse! If you can’t listen to your player base, then, let’s face It, you’ve already lost a huge chunk of them. You Might as well shoot yourself with a Duke

Bungo Devs after this debacle: “Alright guys we did it. We’ve removed enhancement cores from the infusion economy just like you asked. We listened to the community and made a change for the better for our game and its future and most importantly, the fans. That being said, welcome upgrade cores to the game! You’ve had masterwork cores, and then enhancement cores (which were the same thing and minutely better drop rates with a new name), but now we have finally fixed the long issues in the infusion economy with upgrade cores! It will now cost 6 upgrade cores instead of just 3 upgrade cores for a normal legendary infusion AND the drop rate is only very slightly better! It’s so much better and different than the current system it’s unreal! I told you guys we listen to you!” -Love Bungee

And, once again, you guys shows that you don't care for what your playerbase wants. Congratulations on losing more faith from your customers.

Okay.... This time I'm going to /try/ to be civil with you... What you're doing here is trying to mitigate your losses, and give the appearance of a response or "compromise", while maintaining a facade that you were not in fact just "caving" to "overwhelming pressure" to remove cores from infusion. Because that will not only involve admitting you were wrong in the first place... It will mean that your company was forced to bend. Nobody likes being the one who's forced to eat it in a customer satisfaction capacity. I know it's extraordinarily tempting to just scream "if you don't like how we do business just stop doing business with us because we're not changing our position!".... But that doesn't make it the correct response.... I know it's going to be a blow to your egos. But you have reached a point where you are actually taking away people's access to things they worked for just to artificially prop up an economy nobody wants anymore. It's time to just say "fine, the customer is always right apparently so just -blam!-ing take what you wanted and go away". Sometimes you just have to give the complaining customer what they want because failing to do so is ultimately more damaging. As I said before. My council is that you not address the "exploit" to pinnacle weapon core harvesting, allow people to use it all they want until you come up with a patch to remove cores from infusion costs, and then when you put through the patch to remove cores from infusion costs in a few months, just delete all cores from people's inventories and make them all start from ground zero on their cores for master-working new equipment. It has become the best possible solution to a problem that has become far too great of a distraction. It's time to let go of your egos. This is a battle you have lost. Period.

This tone deaf reply proves that your "discussion" with the community doesn't include LISTENING!!!!! Acquisition of cores isn't the complaint. Use of them to rank up AND masterwork gear is the issue. Players do not want them as part of the infusion system, we have enough currencies for that. Infusion and 17 cores to masterwork a weapon is the community complaint. This bullshit reply adds to notion YOU ARE NOT LISTENING.

Good friggin lord. You guys are so arrogantly bullheaded about this it’s ridiculous! You had 4000 comments all saying to remove them in your last post. You continue to ignore it. It’s absurd. (And all your pet streamers who abused the hell out of the pinnacle weapon glitch to get thousands of cores effectively breaking this joke of an economy, you ain’t punishing them so you have 0 credibility anymore). Let me try to make it simple for you to understand. Ahem....... Remove “enhancement” cores from infusion. Retire los núcleos de "mejora" de la infusión. Retirer les noyaux «d'amélioration» de la perfusion. Entfernen Sie "Verbesserungskerne" aus der Infusion. Удалите «улучшающие» ядра из настоя. Remove «amplificationem 'millia metretas ex infusione. 주입에서 "강화"코어를 제거하십시오. 從輸液中移除“增強”核心。 הסר "שיפור" ליבות מן אינפוזיה. Rimuovere i nuclei di "potenziamento" dall'infusione. 注入から「強化」コアを削除します。 Fjern "forsterkning" kjerner fra infusjon. Ta bort "förstärkning" kärnor från infusion. אַראָפּנעמען "ענכאַנסמאַנט" קאָרעס פון ינפיוזשאַן. إزالة "تعزيز" النوى من التسريب.

One enhancement core for a weekly bounty? Seriously? I hope that's a typo because that's not right, or worth it. What is the deal with getting this core thing lined out in a way that actually helps but at the same time doesn't seem like it's designed to use up valuable playing time for such a lowball reward? I dont personally have a problem with cores but I'd be pissed at you guys if I did... as I know a lot of players that do. Sort it out. Remove them from infusion already.
-
What is there to "evaluate"? Just remove them from infusion.. it's not that hard.
-
dmg, I hope your next raise at Bungie (if you ever get to see it) will be in the form of “Enhancement Cores”!
-
So basically middle finger to us... Going to play Minecraft instead.
-
Maybe just remove them? Not that hard! But bread maybe. Lol you guys are clueless
-
Let's be honest with each other DMG. The LAST thing this game needs is more bounties.
-
If Bungie wants the game to thrive, tone-deaf half measures designed in a weak attempt to appease the community aren’t going to work. The real solution is to remove cores. That’s it. That’s all there is. Cut the crap and get it done.
-
There's nothing to evaluate about cores. Bungie is just being obstinate and retaliatory.
-
"Continuing the Enhancement Core one sided negotiations" Should have been the title of said post.
-
As usual a tone deaf response. Still would like them gone from infusion. it's a pointless grind, it's always been a boring monotonous pointless grind.
-
There is no discussion you dont listen to the community. Remove them from infusion and let us go back to focusing on you fun parts of your game then the repressive part.
-
I quit after that TWAB because of how absolutely dense the team is being about infusion. No amount of low balling is going to bring me, or the others that quit back. The system is inherently broken, the only people who will cry over cores being removed from infusion are elitists, and apparently the dev team.
-
Are you -blam!-ing kidding me. Listen to the players, for once. Actually listen, take a second and think about what we are asking for. If you want to burn this game to the ground then you’re on the right path. I’ve never seen a company shit on the playerbase so badly before. You have no connection to the community, absolutely zero. If you do, you just don’t care, and what’s worse about that is the fact that we all stuck by you guys for 5 years, yet you choose to not care. -blam!- this game, I’m done. I’m sick and tired of the insults. It’s as if you want to mock all of us by going around the obvious problem, but whatever. At this point, this game could die and I wouldn’t care.

Edited by Nivalack: 4/11/2019 4:22:02 AMWhile I do appreciate the update and clarification of these upcoming changes, I can't shake the feeling that's there's still a disconnect. I don't know if this is too much to ask for, but could the devs get more involved on their end on this conversation? It kinda feels like the community is asked to shout their opinions to wall when we're asked for feedback. I'd loved to here from the devs more of how they view the community feedback, or give reasons why some changes can be made while others can't. I'd also like to know how come this change isn't coming around till next season? I'd just like a little more back and forth that makes the conversation feel more like a conversation instead of a post of what's happening followed by two weeks of the community yelling only for another post on what has changed after another few weeks of silence. Now again I don't know if this too much to ask for, I don't know the first thing on what working on this game is like or if the devs even have time to talk back with the community, etc, but the way things are now feel like there's a disconnect in place in the conversation.

Please keep the scrapper bounties. Thank you
