Continued Enhancement Core and Mod Component Discussion

Hey all, A few weeks back, we talked about Enhancement Cores coming from Gunsmith bounties in the [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/47706]TWAB[/url]. I wanted to give a quick update on this, as it also involves Mod Components, which have been a topic of discussion as well. Please note- this is all still in development for Season of Opulence, and could change. [quote]• Originally announced in the TWAB, these bounties would cost Gunsmith materials. This has been changed to Glimmer. • There will be multiple daily bounties to complete, each rewarding one enhancement core and two mod components • There will be two weekly bounties to complete. These will each grant one enhancement core, one mod (Weapon or Armor), and other materials or reputation/rank points depending on the objective of the bounty. • Note: When I say rank points, think Valor or Infamy, **not** Glory.[/quote] The team is continuing to evaluate feedback over mod components, enhancement cores, and rewards all up.   • Like some people said, with the inclusion of these Bounties you should check the ones already available too, the Spider ones will be less meaningful and probably harder for the same reward. Enhancement core economy is looking fine for me right now with the plans but Mod components and/or weapon parts isn't, I spent practically all my savings of weapon parts for a good Erentil which I didn't get yet and all the rest on mod components to buy the ones of Black Armory, we really need more ways to get more mod components at least to my point of view. Also What happens with the Tangled Shore material? Will it ever be useful? And what about legendary shards?

  • Weeklies should offer a minimum of 5... 10 for a 2nd harder weekly

  • Never had a problem with Enhancement Cores, neither with PvP, nor with Gambit. The only problem I had in the game is stupid nerfs and buffs, removing trials of the nine, removing faction rallies. What I want from this game? -Dungeons like shattered throne -Raid which we didn't receive in Drifter season -And yeah, specific gambit weapon bounties. It's just my thoughts, don't hate.

    • Since “your team” is still “continuing to evaluate”, “talk about”, “listen to feedbacks”, but actually starting to make any changes. Add to your list, “Remove glimmers cap”. I don’t consider being robbed every time when I get things from Spyder is an impactful feeling Bungie intended for players to have.

        • How about no special bounties for cores. Rather just give regular bounties a chance to drop cores when turned in. That we choose what we want to play to get cores.

          For the love of god bungie ima tell you straight either cut the damn costs of the infusion process or get rid id rather go back to just putting 10 cores in and your done what is even more aggravating then the damn costs is when you dismantle you only get 7 back for the 17 you spend lose 10 cores its a waste it’s like y’all forgot what destiny is I love the franchise but god damn this is some messed up stuff

            A few thoughts about the enhancement cores and the infusion economy as a whole. It appears to me that the issue with the infusion/masterwork economy, is the discrepancy or lack thereof between weapon types in each slot. I propose that the economy is tuned to better reflects the intentions regarding the infusion of weapons and armor for the purposes of power level. My proposal would be a solution that would be solidly in the middle of the road between removal and having cores remain. For weapon infusion, to infuse a weapon the costs would be as follows: If the weapon is a duplicate item: costs would be the same as current, glimmer only If the weapon is the same weapon type and archetype: cost would change to glimmer and legendary shards If the weapon is only the same weapon type: cost would change to glimmer, legendary shards, and planetary materials. If the weapon only resides in the same inventory slot (kinetic, energy, heavy): cost remains same as current glimmer, shards, materials, and cores. Cost for infusing exotics into legendaries remains the same. Armor would follow a similar scheme. (I can detail this if a need arises) Based on what I can tell from the outside looking in is: the infusion system isn’t broken it just requires some tuning to reflect that infusion of one weapon into another becomes more costly and difficult as the differences grow between the two weapons or armor pieces. The system is already able to recognize certain parameters to prompt alternative costs for infusion of weapons and armor at this time, if this could be expanded I think this would give both depth and equity to the infusion process for the players. In addition this would put infusion for power in a “lower tier” in terms of use of materials. This change would still utilize masterwork cores but would shift focus back to the masterwork system as a whole rather than just cores as infusion fodder. This again represents a compromise between the two sides of the Infusion topic, but I think ultimately this would be a great solution.

            • Can we get a feedback discussion on reckoning not being rewarding or how hard it is to get the new weapons with the rolls we want ? Or what about the eververse armor and how we don't have any way to get good rolls on it unless we're just ungodly lucky .. it's really dumb to create this cool armor and not give us away to get the perks we want on it .. What about a discussion that revelry is 3 weeks long and you stuck a way cooler armor set into eververse knowing the odds of getting all 3 sets with good perks are astronomical and you gave Eva somewhat reskins for us to grind over and over ... These are the discussions I'd like to get some feedback on !!!!

                I don’t understand why this is such a large issue..... I have never ran out of cores.... never come close. Bungie wants you to use the limited resource well, not infuse every piece of armor into something else only 3 light levels higher. Be smart with infusion. If you didn’t know, it only costs glimmer to infuse armor into the same price of a higher level

              • Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold

Just cause you screwed up an event which then screwed up pvp and then screwed up triumphs cause you failed to properly test it. Does not mean you can just keep fuelling that fire and think this one will die. Just making more fires to fight.
