Hey all,
A few weeks back, we talked about Enhancement Cores coming from Gunsmith bounties in the TWAB. I wanted to give a quick update on this, as it also involves Mod Components, which have been a topic of discussion as well. Please note- this is all still in development for Season of Opulence, and could change.
• Originally announced in the TWAB, these bounties would cost Gunsmith materials. This has been changed to Glimmer.
• There will be multiple daily bounties to complete, each rewarding one enhancement core and two mod components
• There will be two weekly bounties to complete. These will each grant one enhancement core, one mod (Weapon or Armor), and other materials or reputation/rank points depending on the objective of the bounty.
• Note: When I say rank points, think Valor or Infamy, **not** Glory.
The team is continuing to evaluate feedback over mod components, enhancement cores, and rewards all up. Thank you for the continued feedback. We'll give you updates as we have them.

It's sad to see that we have to spam the forum to get our point clear. Remove cors
-
We want it to cost gunsmith material. Glimmer is scarce.
-
If this is the route you go and I still think its horrible..... Up the number of cores given on a weekly bounty. I like the fact its glimmer now vs gunsmith materials, that said a weekly bounty with essentially the same reward and some "rep" isnt that large a jump compared to a daily that rewards a core. You notice no one really comments on mod components? Most mods absolutely suck. There are like 5 or 6 we actually care about and super mods are the only ones on armor that matter at all. Absolutely no one chases base stat mods. Unless you are releasing new ones this entire bounty is going to be for cores for the bulk of your player base. We want to chase loot. We dont want to chase cores for the loot we already have. I should be playing the game right now. Not discussing the freaking economy like its wall street.
-
I think it’s time to take the issue back to the forum. This pinned topic is a slap in the face.
-
Overall i like how the bounties require glimmer now instead of parts since I don’t get as much. Is it possible to get 2 weapon parts from dismantling blue armor/weapons instead of one?
-
DMG and Cosmo are taking the Marshawn Lynch approach, they just here so they don't get fired
-
i wont play this game until the damn inventory and infusion gets an overhaul! wel sadly it will never happen
-
Remove cost of enhancement core from armor infusion. That way we can at least be somewhat satisfied with the way our character looks while grinding for cores

Edited by Revan 6266540: 5/7/2019 8:22:02 PMRemove them from infusion. Nothing else will make anyone happy I think using them for master crafting and retrieving master crafted items is ok Personally but I think you are going down the wrong path. I have yet to talk to someone that liked the since vanilla D1. they get in the way of upgraded normal earned armor especially when you add unwanted light level to arbitrarily create another unwanted gear grind which is possibly one of the most universally hated parts of the game. Its like throwing away people time and effort continually. Not what I'd call fostering good will.
-
Remove them from infusion. Only for masterworking please
-
Remove cores for infusion. MWing is fine

Daily remove cores from infusion feedback
-
Just remove cores from infusion. It's what most players want. Don't be so stubborn.
-
Are they removed yet?
-
Hand me a roll of twab paper.
-
Yay more grinding that no one wants to do!!!
-
Change the spider bounties for enhancement cores so we dont have to go farm and enemy for 5 minutes put bounties like get precision headshots, or fusion rifiles kills or ability or grenade kills
-
I check up on this post every once in a while. Probably once a week just to see how this thread is still trending. And what do u know.... Every week I get 100+ masterwork cores. I play the game. You should too.

Edited by BigTexB007: 5/4/2019 8:22:45 AMWhelp, played for 2 days in a week for the first time in forever. Went through my vault and deleted gear I had saved for checking out different build diversities so get some Legendary Shards (cause my play time has dwindled to the point where buying 2 cores each time I play along with infusing a couple of items has left me very shard poor) and also netted 10 cores. Because of cores I can't level any gear beyond one real synergized set of gear and can't really try different gear I have in my vault to run it in higher end content and experiment on different weapon types, ability types, so I guess I won't ever use it and my needs for shards and cores outweighs me taking some time to try things out. "Meaningful Choice" indeed. Pretty shitty if you ask me. Played some. Had fun running NFs, strikes (looking to get that Rat King catalyst) and Revelry cause I'd like to get that kinetic LF. Infused some gear when the gains made sense (7+LL gain or so), and bam I'm out of cores and shards again. I've got one loadout at almost max light, but not fully cause I ran out of cores before I could infuse further. The loadout is very limited in regards to utilizing the benefits of the armor and weapons I can use to maximize my character's effectiveness... which is tied heavily to my enjoyment of my playability and since it is so limited therefore heavily tied to my overall enjoyment of the game overall. The fun I had as in SPITE of the stifling progression. Played with friends, had fun. Played content I liked, had fun. I really didn't gain any desire to play more than I had been the last couple of months, which is 1-2 times a week, beyond playing with people I enjoy hanging out with. Sure as heck didn't gain any desire to play solo, and I haven't since Forsaken dropped. To me, Annual Pass content has been bust in most regards. Overall Bungie, this infusion system is still detrimental to my desire to play. When I do play, it is far aside from my previous many reasons... which included trying out many of the different builds, loadouts, abilities, and CHARACTERS (I only play one toon now, and have no desire or plans to progress the others). I really used to enjoy that. Now I feel negative about pursuing those ventures at all because of how limiting infusion really feels. It sucks. Please change it. Want to enjoy the game beyond hanging out with friends and doing the same (but still enjoyable) content over and over.

Edited by TruthandRecon: 5/9/2019 10:20:24 PMSince these bounties are coming from the Gunsmith, I suggest making the bounties WEAPON oriented and not DESTINATION or ACTIVITY oriented. For example: “150 Auto Rifle Kills” It’s efficient for players and it might get me to use weapons in my inventory that never get touched. Just a suggestion.

Edited by RAUDRULF: 5/9/2019 6:22:39 AMEnhancement Cores should be used to enhance a weapon / or perk. - not INFUSE. if you have Handcannon targeting on your helmet? and you want ENHANCED handcannon targeting? guess what... use a Core. infuse with Materials, and Masterwork with usage!- Get X amount of Kills with this Weapon to Masterwork it. you want a re roll on your stat / perk - you can do that as well! with an enhancement core! enhancing the weapon that you love! EDIT: OK so this has me thinking, the average cost of infusion + Masterworking is what = Round about 13 - 15 Cores? Hear me out. on average; You have 4 Perk Trees and 1 Stat. Sights + Mag + Perk 1 + Perk 2 and the Stat. Activate a Re Roll on a Tree / Stat (Randomized) = 1 Core. Activate a Re Roll on a Tree / Stat (Elimination) = 2 Cores. Activate a Re Roll on a Tree / Stat (Specific) = 3 Cores. so Inevitably, you can have the Roll you want 3 Cores x 5 Rolls = 15 Cores I would invest in this.

I currently have 371 enhancement cores. They are too easy to get.
