Hey all,
A few weeks back, we talked about Enhancement Cores coming from Gunsmith bounties in the TWAB. I wanted to give a quick update on this, as it also involves Mod Components, which have been a topic of discussion as well. Please note- this is all still in development for Season of Opulence, and could change.
• Originally announced in the TWAB, these bounties would cost Gunsmith materials. This has been changed to Glimmer.
• There will be multiple daily bounties to complete, each rewarding one enhancement core and two mod components
• There will be two weekly bounties to complete. These will each grant one enhancement core, one mod (Weapon or Armor), and other materials or reputation/rank points depending on the objective of the bounty.
• Note: When I say rank points, think Valor or Infamy, **not** Glory.
The team is continuing to evaluate feedback over mod components, enhancement cores, and rewards all up. Thank you for the continued feedback. We'll give you updates as we have them.

A weekly bounty should reward the same amount of enhancement cores as a daily. At least 5

I just wonder how many of these people who are DEMANDING for the removal of Enhancement Cores realize that IF Bungie were to remove those Cores... They'd rework the infusion process to make it exactly as difficult as it is right now (possibly even worse)? My money would be on the vast majority of these people NOT understanding that. Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it.
-
Hopefully I’ll have enough Cores for my Core bank
-
Can you guys please change the fact that 99% of the time we do the 3 strikes and nightfall power engram bounties that it drops OUTRAGEOUS FORTUNE EVERY FRICKEN TIME! Holy crap!
-
Hey all my ass. Game is down to 2 players left. Pathetic POS that you have nerfed it into. I was a day1 player but the constant NERF and taking things away we worked so hard to get is total BS and I will not be playing it buying anything bungo related. I will however be trashing your game on YouTube every single week pointing out all the failures and stupidity taking place.

Edited by CookieNiki: 4/29/2019 11:13:03 PMYou guys are keeping this so called "discussion" about removing cores from infusion in a low burner just to use the change as marketing for future promotion of content, aren't you? "DESTINY 2 NEW SEASON. A TON OF LOOT AND WITHOUT INFUSION CORES" - 9/10 Metacritic
-
Struggling to find a reason to play now lol let alone you geniuses nerfing anything slightly over powered or fun
-
@BUNGIE, I dont understand your logic. You cant fix the enhancement core issue, but you can ruine all the exotics that we put alot of time in to complete. This is time we spent for feeling powerfull and making endgame content easier. Stop nerfing all the quest weapons we work on and lets us play the f**king games as we want to.
-
That feel when you walking into a store and see Destiny 2 for $10 . Because of destiny's 2 issues, I will never pre-order a game from them. Next time wait for 7 months and get it for half price
-
You guys are destroying my favorite game with the chronic nerf epidemic! Thanks a lot , great job 👍

Edited by Spidah Handz406: 5/15/2019 8:09:02 PMHere is a fun idea - add an extra perk to the Fireteam Medallion: "Chance to receive an Enhancement Core from completing any activity." Broad enough to reward all styles of players. Vague enough to make Bungie happy.
-
If the studio removed cores from infusion it wouldn't cost you all a single player. Adding cores to Infusion cost the studio tens of thousands of players. It's pretty unbelievable that as obvious as the studio response should have been to the fallout from Infusion, that here we still are with it submarining any positive content that's added to the game.

Come on, guys. It’s enhancement cores not infusion cores!
-
just -blam!-ing remove them already, dammit.
-
Bahaha hahhaha haha....tone deaf and not listening
-
We went back to the board and looked at everything and said 'Hey, here are a couple weapons we feel like are in a really good spot' and by 'really good spot' they're kind of hot. They're probably too hot for d2. In d1 people would said (probably correctly), that means nerf those things. They're nails that are sticking up out of the board, and we would have hammered them in to be even with the board. For this update, we did the opposite. We said 'these things are kind of hot. Lets bring everything else to them' so we started raising each thing up whether it be in PvE or PvP
-
this nerf is drawing away more players than anthem did
-
Their going to nerf enhancement cores and mod components so now you need twice as many lol
-
Enhancement cores will be removed on September 13th.
-
For -blam!-s sakes tone down taken captains spamming the taken blast the -blam!-ed taking phalanx boss bolts and the taken knight fire blast this shit is getting ridiculous getting spammed by all of it like they have the reverly tonic activated like balance your shit out jesus give some one the rights to destiny already cause you stupid -blam!-s clearly don't know how to balance a God damn game

Edited by TheShadow-cali: 5/16/2019 6:27:55 PMWhy do the mods make a post that is important and trending drop and disappear yet will keep post trending that are not so important at times at the top? This most likely will not get answered and this is (not about me being upset or anything like that.) I'm asking legit questions. As I explained in one of your posts recently (a post can have zero likes and trend at the top for 3 days.) It's because of how many replies it gets. 1 day my post had more likes and a lot more replies then some of the posts that have been up for a couple of days. 75% of the replies that have been made to that post have been the gamers being respectful to one another. No bans that I know of, no issues that a mod had to do anything other them leave it alone. Every time I make a post this happens, 1 day the most and it drops like it didn't exist. Even if it had a couple thousands of likes and replies.(Cozmo explained how post trend on this forum) Is it safe to say the mods are stepping over their boundaries? doesn't Bungie want legit feedback like the post I created actually was? if it's a certain person this means (the post must disappear) even though it is actually an important conversation that was going well with the community? Edit: Is this going to get removed because I brought up legit questions that it brings attention you guys don't like?

I’ll say what I always say. Cores need to be earned more organically through gameplay. Strikes should reward one on completion. Nightfalls can drop 3, raid stage completions 3, crucible matches drop 1, and gambit could drop a couple on completion. Either remove cores from infusion or make them more common to get through just finishing activities. Nobody gets on to go to the shore to do spider bounties. We get on to raid, play crucible, or Gambit not spend an hour doing busy work.
-
Honestly, why is Bungie so dead set on these stupid cores? They are extremely irritating to deal with and have no place for infusion. Masterworking is one thing, but for infusion? C'mon.
-
What feedback do you need to continue to collect, and evaluate regarding MW cores?! This community of consumers has told you by, and large to shove them up your asses. Evaluate that.

Edited by MagicalTaco117: 5/16/2019 8:51:04 PMHere. Since the community “managers” apparently don’t have dictionaries and don’t know what a discussion is..... here’s the dictionary definition and some examples
dis·cus·sion /dəˈskəSH(ə)n/ noun the action or process of talking about something in order to reach a decision or to exchange ideas. "the proposals are not a blueprint but ideas for discussion" a conversation or debate about a certain topic. plural noun: discussions "discussions about environmental improvement programs" synonyms: conversation, talk, dialogue, discourse, conference, debate, exchange of views, consultation, deliberation; More a detailed treatment of a particular topic in speech or writing. synonyms: examination, exploration, analysis, study, review, scrutiny; More
So you see, in order to have a discussion, YOU ACTUALLY HAVE TO CONVERSE, not just leave a thread and never actually talk with the community. Ya’ll are pathetic excuses for “managers”. I’d have fired you a long time ago if you were on my payroll *edit* this is post 4988 without any “manager” reply
