Continued Enhancement Core and Mod Component Discussion

Hey all, A few weeks back, we talked about Enhancement Cores coming from Gunsmith bounties in the [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/47706]TWAB[/url]. I wanted to give a quick update on this, as it also involves Mod Components, which have been a topic of discussion as well. Please note- this is all still in development for Season of Opulence, and could change. [quote]• Originally announced in the TWAB, these bounties would cost Gunsmith materials. This has been changed to Glimmer. • There will be multiple daily bounties to complete, each rewarding one enhancement core and two mod components • There will be two weekly bounties to complete. These will each grant one enhancement core, one mod (Weapon or Armor), and other materials or reputation/rank points depending on the objective of the bounty. • Note: When I say rank points, think Valor or Infamy, **not** Glory.[/quote] The team is continuing to evaluate feedback over mod components, enhancement cores, and rewards all up.   • Look man we have spoken and you don’t listen. If it’s a bounty it should grant more than one, weekly it should grant 7 minimum. I’ll have better luck and save a lot of time by just dismantling other legendary gear. And here is another piece of advice, shotguns ie the dust rock blues is an overused weapon that and the erentil. Shotguns should not one shot past 4 meters and fusions should be restricted to less than 10. The only exception being slug shotguns which need a increase to aim assist or better range but no more than 15 meters. After that pellet spread should be massive. Shotgun and fusion counters can’t counter because of the stupid amount of range these weapons have. The last word should destroy a rushing shotgunner but nope it’s 50/50 because when they slide good luck. Which brings up my last point when you slide you should lose aim assist and accuracy. I don’t know what the sweet spot is but here is your feedback with constructive notes and recommendations.

  • I feel like this is a cop out in design. Sounds like it will be functional and possibly easily adjustable to satisfy the economy. But I feel like it’s an opportunity missed to create an engaging experience instead of relying on “bounties”. Guess it’s a fix using the tools you have now. Maybe in D3.

  • So, how does one get weapon mods unless they come on a weapon or we dismantle certain mods? What I mean is, why are we funneled into either dismantling mods or weapons?

  • there is no reason to have infusion. everything cool got nerfed. why infuse now? bungie is forcing everyone to use terrible armor and terrible weapons.

    • Hey, look! Dauntless just launched on consoles with full cross-play between them and PC. Right when you're about to launch a new Season, too. Hope you guys like losing player numbers to Monster Hunter Fortnite because you won't remove extremely unnecessary glowing rock costs from levelling, because holy shit.

      • My thought is that the amount for weekly is too low, make it between 3-5 and the daily maybe 2, if not, lower the amount required to upgrade and to masterwork. Otherwise, I honestly don't understand who you are trying to fool with this. The scrapper bounties are being replaced...REPLACED! by gun smith bounties and they still reward the same amount???? the only think that change here is the fact that "we" choose to buy them rather then randomly getting them from breaking down armor. I'm calling it......... cores to be sold by tess for real money.

          • General Dodonna: The battle station is heavily shielded and carries a firepower greater than half the star fleet. It's defenses are designed around a direct, large-scale assault. A small one-man fighter should be able to penetrate the outer defense. Gold Leader: Pardon me for asking, sir, but what good are snub fighters going to be against that? General Dodonna: Well, the Empire doesn't consider a small one-man fighter to be any threat, or they'd have a tighter defense. An analysis of the plans provided by Princess Leia has demonstrated a weakness in the battle station. But the approach will not be easy. You are required to maneuver straight down this trench and skim the surface to this point. The target area is only two meters wide. It's a small thermal exhaust port, right below the main port. The shaft leads directly to the enhancement core. A precise hit will start a chain reaction which should destroy the infusion system. Only a precise hit will set off a chain reaction. The shaft is ray-shielded, so you'll have to use proton torpedoes. Wedge Antilles (Red 2): That's impossible! Even for a computer. Luke: It's not impossible. I used to bullseye womp rats in my T-16 back home, they're not much bigger than two meters. General Dodonna: Then man your ships. And may the Force be with you.

            • Can we pre download season of oppulence before June 4th? I know we can’t play it until it goes live. That way we can get stuck into it as soon as it does go live rather than waiting for it to download on the day.

              • Approaching 5200 replies on here and discussion keeps going on. Maybe Destiny3 will be out before bungie remove enhancement cores from infusion.

                • On the right track, but the rewards still seem a little stingy when you need 17 of them to masterwork a single weapon. I realize this is supposed to be a special thing, but the rate is just too shallow, especially for weeklies. IMO, make it 3-7.

                  I mean, really? It was 10 Pre-Forsaken, and now you jumped it up to 18? I know there was an increase in the amount given out, but not a lot. I like the new system, but using almost half of what you have been scrapping to save on one weapon hurts. A lot. I would be Honest to the Traveler happy if you just dropped it back down to ten, or even 12...

                • @Bungie: The majority of gaurdians I play with do not want enhancement cores at all but would be satisfied with a system that rewarded more than one at a time. Or to say more than one per bounty. In between 3-5 would be good. If you play this game at any level you know your play style is restricted by the small amounts of cores you get. Even with your proposed new system it will not be enough and the backlash will resurface again. I hope y'all figure it out. Good luck. Jediholocron

                • So glad I stopped playing this crap game. You ppl at Bungie or whoever is in charge are brainless. I went back to playing D1 because it KILLS this unending tragedy of a game. It’s UNREAL that you still haven’t learned from your past. You are the definition of insanity.
