Literally, who in his damn mind would go running with 15 motes to fight the HVT? Who in the god damn mind keeps hogging the Invasion portal just to get himself killed as the dunce with a hitmark on his head? Why in your god damn mind ARE YOU NOT DUNKING YOUR DAMN MOTES?
For real, do us a favor and stop playing this game mode if you don't know jackshit about it. I just came back from grinding XP for the pinnacle wepaon of S6 (6 match spree) and I've ended with teams that know NOTHING about how to play this game mode. Hell, one guy was running as a Titan with clearly no idea when to dunk (spoilers: THE DRIFTER TELLS YOU TO DUNK. YOUR. MOTES!) or stands like a donkey without giving a flipping duck about helping clear adds or hogs the portal without letting team-mate to invade.
And for those moronic, lazy enough to not check tutorials or guides, allow me to summarize you:
1) You get 5 - 10 motes
2) You dunk the motes
3) Help clear adds
4) Clear blockers
5) Help with invaders
6) Leave the portal to the ACTUAL person who can GET THE KILLS AS INVADER.
7) Rinse and repeat
8) See the Taken Wizards with the Primeval? Here's slowly: KILL. THE DAMN. WIZARDS.
9) You see the giant Primeval? SHOOT. THE. DAMN. PRIMEVAL!
10) Win the damn match
Man, people are dumb.
/end rant/

Is there a way to report poeple that are proposliy getting 15 motes and then letting themselves die
-
Wait, so you're saying collect 50-100 motes and then attack a Wizard? Okay, got it.
-
I called it when Bungo announced a "swaetier version of gambit". Man did I called it. I said it. How do you expect to release a sweater version of a game mode that most players are incompetent playing it? Is not that I am a genius. It is just so obvious if you have spent any time playing gambit before season 6. It was obvious people do not have a clue what so ever how to play. No awareness to the mechanics. I really don't understand why though. This si not rocket science. You also forgot to mention the people that keep rushing dps phases in Prime and no one is paying attention to invader.

I agree the majority of the D2 playerbase seem to be a bunch of brain dead tards
-
I know how to play. It bothers me to play like a jerk, but I’m trying to get the titles and need to earn those medals. Those triumphs promote bad gameplay like crazy. While doing the collector one I would just leave games after the primeval came out. Doing pretty much the same thing now working on the massacre medals for reaper which I am somehow still 0/10 for despite wiping entire waves solo in the blink of an eye.

I’ve become convinced some of the players are an experiment in AI like a bot. How many games of control have you played solo queuing where your team has zero control points and they still spawn a red point and run right past it. It is a constant thing. I’ve mentioned more than a few times in the past that Bungie desperately needs to open comms between players because we have an obvious canyon of skill gap between the vets and new players. (Noobs). There is a lot of tension playing this game right now as a solo player- it just doesn’t really work out to be an enjoyable experience unless you’re just an oblivious person.

Your first mistake was playing gambit...
-
I usually: 1) Que. for about 15 mins 2) See other side is 4-man premade 3) Ditch game 4) Que. again 5) Another 4-man 6) Ditch again 7) Que. for crucible to reset matchmaking 8) Que. again 9) Same 4-man from step 2 10) Ditch game 11) Timed out for leaving rigged matches early 12) ????? 13) Primeval for dinner

Seriously you blueberries are cheeks. Makes me regret getting over halfway to reckoner... it’s the most miserable thing besides grinding nf...

Edited by WarlikeTub007: 4/4/2019 4:21:57 AMThank heavens I’m not the only one noticing this. As someone who kits out their character for invading (trying to finish Triumphant Invader to get closer to Reckoner), I get SO annoyed when I see my teammates acting stupid. (Sniper rifles aren’t great Blocker killers) Like a full Sentry/Reaper boi deciding to invade and getting one tapped instantly (-_-). Guys, if I’m not immediately invading, it’s probably because I see some ammo I need to grab. Hold your horses. And stop hogging the portals! Or when I’m trying to bank my 5 motes and then get mobbed by three medium/large blockers, and get absolutely no help. I see you three standing in the corner doing nothing! Or, even more ridiculous, when we get invaded and I die to the invader but bring him so low a tickle will kill him, and my teammates somehow not only fail to kill him, but all die to him too. Like what the hell guys? The icing on the cake is when there’s other Invaders on my team (1-2 others) and they just sit next to portal doing jack all. HELP PLEASE? (Also, if you’re an invader, and fail to get a single kill more than once, just stop hoarding the portal.) Kudos to that one blueberry Titan I played with one match (sorry for not remembering your username) who was running invader though, saw I was running it too, and swapped to Reaper and actually did his role, allowing me to work on my Triumph. You’re the real MVP.

Destiny is only one of the few games in my 33 year history which so many actual retards play. It's amazing.
-
Absolutely! Love at the end you see dumbnutz who kept stealing motes ends the game with 5 in the bank 39 lost! Like huh?
-
My 2 favorite people. *The 15 Man* Your Bank: 73 motes Random: "hmm, we have 73. So, that means we need 15 motes to summon the Primeval!" Me: 😑 *The Passive Aggressive* Your Bank is surrounded by like 5+ blockers. Everyone on team has 15 motes Me: *trying to clear blockers by yourself. Everyone else with 15 motes hiding in the back not doing anything: "yo, did you clear the middle yet?? I mean, I took the heavy and I'm definitely not gonna use it but could you hurry so I can bank these motes?" Invader comes over and Killa everyone and ya still have like 3 blockers in the middle. "So you just let the invader kill us all huh??" Me: 🙃
-
Nothing pissed me off more than coming over to bank 5-10 notes just to see a bunch of Captain or Knight Blockers and having to fight them alone. It happens way more than one would expect.

Edited by Lahgtah: 4/5/2019 11:09:31 AMIt'd probably help if there was more in-game walkthroughs on basic game mechanics. One thing Destiny 2 is horrifically bad at is giving anyone a sense of where to go and what to do. I can't get mad at people who still don't make public events heroic; there is absolutely no indicator in the game that so much as hints at how to do it. The same goes for nearly everything in the game. Shoot, if I didn't have friends who had played it prior and told me about so many things, I never would've known half the things I do about the game. It reeks of corner cutting when a game's solution to understand things is to leave the game and go read some soyboy's novel-long narcissistic blogpost explaining something that could be summarized in three or less sentences.

Look at this.
-
The more I play gambit, the more I never want to play it again. The gamemode is a snooze fest
-
I got dredgen and 7 resets and I have seen people dumber then walls !! But still, gambit remains a favourite activity
-
Agreed. It’s absolutely infuriating when you’re playing with players who have no clue what they’re doing.. “Bank those motes, summon that primeval” Nope I’m still going to keep stacking motes. That infuriates me the most!
-
It’s -blam!-ing infuriating seeing that one dipshit on the bottom with 20 notes dropped, 0 guardian kills and 1% prime damage
-
I agree. But, I also disagree. Gambit is one of those game modes that's designed for team play. I do see alot of people saying the bounties and triumphs promote bad gameplay, which is true. When I go in solo, 90 percent of the time it's to complete a bounty. Grabbing 15 motes, invading at bad times ect. If I want to play to win, I always grab atleast 2 other people and we go for it. It's really hard to communicate with randoms, especially on console, but even on PC ot seems like no reads their chat. It is funny when we're ready for the Primevil and we need 2 or 3 more motes and we always seem to have that one random going for 15, I'll go kill something quick and take it. It would be nice for an "on screen prompt" when your team mates need to bank instead of an audio prompt. My advice to you is to not play so sweaty when you're going in solo.

If Bungie thinks this is great content, then they should be ashamed of themselves! Bungie barely listened to any feedback they got from us! I am not surprised that people have stopped playing When we needed real content, a breath of life in the game - they gave us Season of the Drifter! I can honestly say, personally, this Annual Pass has been a disaster and a complete waste of money for me!
-
Your assuming everyone else has your motivation and goals, thats poor thinking on your part. Bounties and triumphs in almost all activities pretty much screw over your team mates. I'd say it was bad design but I think its "as intended".
-
Who are you to tell me how to play the game!? If I want to stand there and do nothing I will!!
-
No one really cares, they just go in there to get their power drop.
-
Some looking for a bounty or reward and doesn’t care about winning.....
