Iron Burden has a solid foundation for a mechanic. Here's some feedback to make it better for everyone!

Dear Bungie. I have played this weeks Iron Banner and tried out the Iron Burden mechanic that you introduced. I have to say , it was actually fun to handicap yourself by reducing your power without sacrificing the carefully crafted gear. Truely changed a few things in terms of my own playstyle. That being said, there's not much of an insentive to use it , which is a shame. Sure there's a curated Fusion Rifle ready to be unlocked, but not everyone is a fan of that gun and those that got it have nothing else to use it for , other than for the sake of making it harder for yourself. I mean some players love a challenge like that sometimes. You have a solid foundation here with that Iron Burden which is why I would like to make some suggestions to further improve upon it. I think you should treat the Iron Burden similar to a boon of the crucible or the vanguard and shower players with more loot and materials that they care about which are IB tokens, weapons, armor, shards and even enhancement cores. I know there's a big discussion about these cores and their barely frequent accessibility but I have an argument for why they should be part of the reward later on. Reward players with such loot for each match and compensate the teammates of the player that is wielding the burden as well with the same extras. Let it stack so more and more people have an insentive to wear it. Players do care about shorterm rewards just as much as they like some long term grindfest. So if the shortterm rewards are good enough for players to wield that burden a lot more players will do that during an iron banner match. And that includes the cores as goals for rewards. Considering that the Iron Banner is around only for 1 week and only once a month, it wouldn't create too much of a big dent in the economics that you have planned for said cores. A lot of players really loved the winter event because of the rewards you could aquire and how often it would happen. Treat iron banner the same way and more people will be interest in playing at that event when it is around! If done right, the burden can have a great impact on the experience for every player. Especially for the average Joe player that does not have had the time to catch up in the powergrind because of family, work and similar responsibilities and is therefore just 650 or hell imagine those players that hop in there being below 600 in the first place getting back into destiny after a long while. Reason for why the burden can have a positive impact is if a lot of the 700 Power players choose to go down to 600 for the burden bonus loot, the average joe player could hop in and have fun too without feeling the burden of being underpowered against the more invested players out there. Basicly if the Iron Burden rewards players well enough to go to 600 all the time, simply everyone will benefit from that in the experience as it evens out the playing field in terms of power. I know there is a boon there that can temporary boost you by 100 points up but still. I do have to say though that the Iron Burden needs a change. The Debuff that lasts for 30 minutes should be changed to either make it a cheaper token that lasts for a match instead of minutes. So that the burden doesn't have the chance to run out of the effect mid match. OR better yet, make it an emblem that people can wear and while they wear the emblem , they will have a persistent Iron Burden effect on them. It would also be fun to see how many players in a match are doing that same thing too. I hope the team responsible for the mechanic and Iron Banner gets to see this and maybe consider doing something as suggested in here for the future. At first I was skeptical about the Iron Burden mechanic but after a while I see potential there. Thanks for reading all this. Kind regards: H C.
