Why was Destiny 1’s armor so much better? What happened to knights and wolves and fire for the Iron Banner gear? Or the Egyptian style trials gear? Or the cool glowing ornaments for Crota’s End armor? The list goes on and on.

These armor sets could look a lot better with ornaments to go with them. We haven't seen armor ornaments in what? 2 or maybe 3 seasons? And it also doesn't help that the vendor armors really haven't changed now in awhile. And leave little to the creativity of what we got in D1. Yes..there was some bad armors in D1. But, overall, the armors in D1 had more of a charm to them than the armor sets we're just being handed in D2. I for one don't really care about the more newer sets. The armors you can get from Reckoning really only have 1 purpose, and that's for Gambit Prime. In general, they're ugly armors in my opinion. I actually don't mind this seasons Iron Banner armor (I find the Hunter set looks good in the New Age Black Armor shader). But then again, not everyone is gonna wanna play IB to get a chance of getting a full set since the bounties don't always drop armors. In fact, I only got 3 of the 5 armor pieces from bounties. The other 2, I had to buy from the vendor and infuse to make 700. Dreaming City is a great armor set. And well worth acquiring and getting Transcendent Blessing put on it. But the issue with this armor set is that I would love to see the armor update in a new season. Like maybe make a darker version? A more Taken version of it? After all, the Dreaming City is still in a curse on repeat. So making the armor set somehow becoming effected would be awesome.
