Would cats be more, or less scary if they were the size of spiders
I think less, cause they can’t lay on you at that size, and would be able to get into your house as easily. But they'd be easy to kill/dispose of, or take outside.

I dont' have a problem with cats being the size of spiders. I REALLY don't want to deal with spiders the size of cats.....

Depends on the cat. If they’re anything like my neighbors cat, then -blam!- yes I would want them larger!
