The only thing strong about Nova Warp is its Handheld Super Nova. If Bungie nerfs the Handheld Super Nova to not one-shot, it would definitely have the worst neutral game ever. Before it got nerfed, if you paired this subclass tree with Contraverse Hold, you'd have an even stronger neutral game due to being able to survive shotguns up-close and shoulder charges. People played Nova Warp for its strong super and that goes for Spectral Blades as well. Once Spectral Blades gets the Nova Warp treatment, people would certainly move away from it. Nova Warp didn't deserve the blanket nerf it got and definitely needs to be buffed.

I will add however that it’s ability to recover ability energy and health on ability kills is strong and the melee does a crazy 165 damage overall. But yes, handheld supernova is the trademark. For Spectral people would definitely move away, though those that have good gun skill will still stick with it because of truesight
