AMA about exos.

Three years later and there are still misconceptions and questions about Destiny's true master race. I will respond to any questions about exos y'all may have.

  • I´m new to this amazing universe so I have a whole alot of questions haha! Had even more when I got here but reading through all posts have answered some of them, so thank you for that. Appreciate it. I´ve been playing as humans thus far but can´t seem to stop digging into the exomind lore which is by far the most intriguing! Alot are follow up questions of potential answers (I´m sorry, thought it would be easier to just send them all at once). Will be using Cayde as an example becouse we all know him and it make things easier to explain. "Also, all exos dream of returning to this tower. To get there, they have to face an army and kill them. This army is made up of people they have met in their lives. Friends and acquaintances. The exo kills them all." Are they armed? Might seem like an no-brainer at first but let´s put it this way; If Cayde did this, would he have to kill his son, and would the son be armed? (I mean, the son could have died as an adult, but if he died as a kid would Cayde have to fight an five year old wielding mighty golden age weapons!? Imagine all harmless individuals you once knew that all of a sudden know how to handle firearms. That would just be really weird when you think about it. Is it only people the exo knew before becoming an exo or is it also those they met after that during, their exo life? If it's also people from their time as an exo: Is it only dead people or can it consist of current/alive friends too? Would Cayde have to fight Zavala and Ikora etc? (If this is the case I´d like to think that the Colonel is the boss of the army, that would be hilarious) Are all the people physically there or is it a type of simulation or mind test? If it´s only a test of mind, do they still caus physical damage? What happens to the exo if he/she fails to overcome the army? Why do they want to stop the exos from finding out about their past? If the exo were accompanied by someone, would they be able to lend help or even see the army? Does this question have different answers based on if the companion is another exo or a human/Awoken? Also if two exos went there together would their respective armies both stand before them at once? Was this "test" designed during the golden age when the Deep Stone Crypt was activly creating exos and transfering minds into them or did it come along later on and how? Since all exos dream about going there. What have happened to those that went there? Did they return? Since we have the information we have someone must have returned to tell about it, right? Also, how come we know about the test but nothing about what it´s like inside the Crypt or after the army is beaten? Have no one succeded yet or do they stay behinde forever if they succed?
