Okay, so I normally don't complain about grinding rewards in this game. It's why I'm here. I enjoy the grind and the feeling I get when I finally get the item I'm looking for. However, I played BA very passively this past season and with the season of the drifter and gambit prime I decided I really wanted to get Jotunn for gambit prime invading. This post might be too late as BA is now not the main focus of Destiny 2, but I feel like I should share anyways. I anticipated doing a lot of Bergusia forges, I had no problem with that. I didn't however, expect to spend the majority of three days trying to get Jotunn. (Which I have yet to get btw.) I wanted to highlight a few things that I feel get too annoying when you grind the forges. 1. You can only get Jotunn if you also forge a powerful frame at the Bergusia forge. I understand if you don't want people to just farm the Bergusia to get Jotunn without having to first get some kind of entry fee, but this is the direct cause of the rest of my issues to come. 2. The steps to farm frames are boring, monotonous, and do nothing but force me to mindlessly fly around the solar system for 40 minutes. Here's a few things I wish would change: -Why do I need 6 modulus reports to get a frame. This means that after every frame I build, I have to do two additional forge ignitions for no reason other than to get more reports. (Yes I know bounties reward reports but you only get 5 a day, which doesn't even get you a single frame.) At least reduce it to 2 so I can go straight from the forge back to Ada to get another frame. -Why do I need to talk to Ada-1 to finish the radiant frame quest step. I don't mind the quest itself, but all this step does is put me through an extra two loading screens to go to the tower, talk to Ada, and fly back to the EDZ. -Why can't I launch the forges from orbit. Listen, you want to show off the cool hidden areas the forges are at. Cool, I love to explore. But for Christ's sake guys I'm so tired of spawning in Trosland and driving all the way to the Bergusia forge every single time. ALSO, why do you hate my sparrow? what's with all the ways you try to force me to get off my sparrow and walk to the forges? I know the only reason you put a broken bridge and fallen boulders in the path at Sojourner's camp is to get me off my sparrow. Not cool. 3. Can you please put in an increasing reward rate for people who don't get the exotics at the forge? Similar to the EP weapons? Please Bungie, I've ignited this Bergusia forge at least 40 times in 3 days. I've made close to I expect 15 swords and 10 sniper rifles at this forge. Not a single time have I gotten the Jotunn, nor have any of them been curated rolls. Yesterday I spend about 9 hours straight doing just this farm. How do I not have Jotunn yet? TL;DR - I love the grind of this game, but farming powerful frames to get the Jotunn/other BA exotics is mentally draining and mind numbingly boring if you have bad RNG like myself. Please reduce the boring parts of the grind or pointless steps.
