I decide this afternoon that there are better games than Destiny out there and I'm finished. I played 5,500+ hours in Destiny 1 and 3,500 hours in Destiny 2, have a Triumph score of 60,000, but this ends today. I do not like Gambit for a variety of reasons (Peer to Peer network, lag, cheaters, AFK people, poor game mechanics, no rewards and shitty modifiers) and if this is all there is to play for another 3 months, I'll move on. I refuse to re-do the same fornicating content (Strikes, Story, Adventures) for 9+ months with no advancement of the mains story line just to level up another 50 light levels. You got my $60 CDN Bungie for this disaster of a Season Pass, but you'll never get another dime out of me.
PS: This is Bungie Feedback - none of the Fan Boys need to comment on this.

I can see where other people will say “c ya” but what needs to be noticed here is that there has been a lot more of these “I’m done “ post. Never seen this many after a release. So in other words, these post do carry weight and bungie should be concerned..... unless of course they are indeed trying to kill this game to move on to other things.

Left this game weeks ago. Best thing I ever did. Can't seem to shake Destiny 2: Forum Edition though. Way more content, less grind. You'll be glad you left this shit behind, I am. Sorry to see you go though mate, I've seen you on these forums for as long as I've been here and mostly agree with you on pretty much everything. Another Guardian down. Pity Bungo doesn't care.

I couldnt have put it better myself!! I too have allot of time on Destiny 1 & Destiny 2 xbox one an now this PC!!

Edited by CookieNiki: 3/11/2019 6:06:16 PMIt's sad when we get to a point when even the most dedicated players are completely bored with such a uninspired, low effort content like this Annual Pass has been. When even hardcore players start leaving, it's crystal clear how much a developer screwed their own game. It almost looks like they're deliberately making it die to move to another thing.

See you in Division 2! I fired up the game last night via early access, and now I have to relearn all from scratch. At least you get an MPX as a blue starter. Drones are a blast.

We have to stop paying for stuff we dont even know about. Stop preordering. (not saying u did) but for those who did. Stop buying service games (games with promised free content over time.) Why would you pre- pay for something you don't even know about? Scummy business tactic, and lets bungie and many other game companies take advantage of their consumers. Smh

Right with ya. I’ve fired up some old games. Playing through 1998 Resident Evil, played my GameCube Resident Evil Remake, Pikmin. Fired up my GTA5, crashed a shit ton of planes. Now I’m going through my Metroid Prime Trilogy, after that probably going to go through every MGS game. In other words, a lot of happy game time this week that doesn’t require milestones, gambit, or Enhancement Cores.

Thanks for sharing

When people like yourself who are regulars on the forum, and play 1000s hours (not a casual) call it quits, bungie needs to wake up and take note. Seen other names replying to your post and other posts saying the same thing who are also fans of the game. The game is in a sad state, and bungie doesn’t seem to care.

I'm still playing because I paid for this but I am 75 percent right now NOT buying into year 3. And will never give Bungie a dime for mocrotransactions ever.

Congratulations on your new found freedom. You will soon find yourself with feelings of refreshment and release as if you just overcame an unhealthy addiction. Then you will find these Forums are just as addicting yet more fun than the game itself. Enjoy your new freedom!

Bye Felicia.
See you again next week 😉
I agree. I am doing the same. I recently went back to Destiny 1, quit my clan, and joined a D1-based clan to run raids and strikes and help new players. I had more fun in my 10 hours of D1 a couple days ago than my 100 hours of D2. That is saying something. Bungie needs to wake the hell up. I am tired of the fanboys storming my comments and the threads of those who are quitting and then acting like they are the "real fans". These people are living off of a label and are not realizing that this product is OBJECTIVELY and FACTUALLY inferior to Bungie's first Destiny. Is it okay to like D2? Yes! Just don't be an idiot and tell me that it is factually better than D1. You know what. I am going to tell you how much I spent on D1. None of this is an exaggeration. I am writing this just in case someone bothers to tell me I am not a real fan. Real fans don't spend the money I spent, but lots of real fans like me did. -Base game of D1(release, with pre-order bonus): $60 -The Dark Below(with pre-order Sparrow): $15 -House of Wolves(pre-order): $15 -Base game of Destiny(again, but for PS3): $10 -Expansion Pass(PS3): $25 -The Taken King Collectors Edition(pre-order/and on Ebay): $250 -The Taken King(again, for PS3): $40 -Microtransactions: $50-$60(don't know exactly) -Rise of Iron(cancelled pre-order): $30 Total: $495-$505

I highly doubt there is another expansion coming to Destiny 2 so with the utter failure of the season pass this year, I would say Destiny is over for the 98% of us. There’s no reason to think season 7 will bring anything good either. All we can hope for is they don’t screw up Destiny 3.
-
Sucks to see a guy who played so much leave. Im top 1% in time played as well. Plan to sit this season out. Speak with our time, only voice we have.

Too bad, I always enjoy your posts and actually played against you in PvP; I tried to pay attention and learn from you. Hope to run into you again in crucible someday.

Good riddance

Same. I won't spend a dime on Bungie games until at they've been out at least 3 months. I will NEVER prepurchase one of your games again as you let me down with the base Destiny 2 game and now the season pass.
-
Yet you still have all your characters for insurance!!!!! Why didn’t you delete all characters first , you hold no weight on what your saying you will be coming back to destiny guaranteed!!!!
-
I took a two week break and only returned because Xur was selling the Hunter gloves Played some Prime, did all Dreaming City stuff, & Milestones. Think I’m gonna buy Div 2 and disappear again. The powerful drops are throttled now and the 50 light gain is strictly grinding what we’ve been grinding for the last 6 months. Game remains stale.
-
every time I read something like this, I hear "Hello Darkness my old Friend" I don't know why.
-
The Division 2 is out for me in 20hrs then i'm leaving this shit show behind, i'll check back in September to see what's going on with the game but not holding much hope. I just find with all the experience they have had with destiny and all the good feedback over the years, they have not got a fuxking clue what the fuxk they are doing.
-
Sounds like with all those hours invested, you got your moneys worth. I deleted the game after about 200 hours. Consider yourself lucky.
I refuse to re-do the same fornicating content (Strikes, Story, Adventures) for 9+ months with no advancement of the mains story line just to level up another 50 light levels
This is exactly why I've stopped to. You're not the only one. I don't like the season pass. I hated Black Armoury and barely played it. Now the Drifter comes along and I just feel like I'm behind.
