To be honest, like many others, I am entirely disappointed with the season of the drifter and its only the first week. I remember when talks of this season were being asked, bungie had said that the season of the drifter would NOT be all about gambit. But when the only new armor comes from drops and bounties in gambit, the reckoning mode requires gambit prime matches to complete to even participate, let alone be rewarded for fighting through it, all the while the gambit prime mode has no true difference between its base version besides the whole 1 round system. Sure, the wizards having to be killed for some time of damage is a nice idea, but that's what we did in normal gambit except they didn't come back. Light level still matters, the gods of normal gambit remain the gods of new gambit, and like before I can't put up with the stress-inducing headaches of trying to hunt down an invader, while the rest of the team attempts to DPS the boss to only be queened or be supered to death. Upon which the vanguard, crucible, and just the planets themselves receive no updates (besides the new, "please play destiny to get this gun that is a 50/50 chance of us making it a good gun" bounty) and strikes are nothing more then slight amount of training for the eventual nightfall farm that everyone commits to, because thats all they are good for anymore. I expected alot and got so little, with only 4 exotics to attempt to grab, the thorn being a quest so its an easy get, and the only new content being armor made for gambit, im going to take a mild break from destiny. Ill be playing anthem or even kingdom hearts and MHW, until next week or so when thorn is out, ill get my favorite gun in d1 and maybe, MAYBE, do the alliance quests, but otherwise, i have better things to do than throw myself at gambit to even progress through the game (and i mean "progress" as in unlock new things which gambit and eververse are the only 2 new things to be added to the game while everything prior is left in the dust except post forsaken). Edit#1, it has come to my attention that some bounties are avaible after the intro quest to get the armor syths by completing things outside of gambit, But to upgrade the machine you need to complete gambit prime mathes, so i was still right, but also wrong
