Hey hey, easy there, brother! - GP Invasions, and why they are bad (right now).
Gambit Prime is, inherently, a really fun gamemode. Action packed, engaging and all-around capable of being a very exciting gamemode. There is one thing that will easily become GP's downfall, though...
Invasions. In GP, there is way too much emphasis on invasions. I would even dare say that almost nothing you do outside of an invasion matters, because invasions can take away all of your progress / hard work in an instant.
The issue? Invasions are too frequent. At least, they are in the Primeval phase. It's obvious the same cooldown timer from regular Gambit was used, without accounting for the time needed to kill the envoys.. and the massively increased amount of health the boss has. (Noticeable because BB with x5 Primeval slayer does only about 1/3rd of the HP, if even that.)
And as such, unless an invasion goes wrong (it rarely does, from what I've witnessed), Primeval phase turns into a constant back and forth of damaging the Primeval, getting invaded, Primeval is healed - Repeat. The same thing will happen on the enemy's side. This drags out the gamemode to a crawl, loses all the excitement the gamemode had prior to this phase (since it's literally a repeat of the same thing, over and over), and thus makes the gamemode turn into something not-so-fun as it could be. Arguably the only player who'll have fun in Primeval stage is the invader.
Solution: extend cooldown between invasions. Even if only 15 seconds, that already oughta be enough. If a team can be invaded right as they kill their envoys, only to be invaded again *immediately* after killing their envoys again afterwards, something oughta be wrong. The game becomes a "which team's invasion will fail first" scenario rather than anything else.
My 2 cents, thoughts?
